What would you save if your 1800s home had to be taken down to the studs? When this historic Indiana home developed serious foundation issues, its homeowner faced a massive renovation- but instead of replacing the character that made the house special, she worked to save and preserve as much of its history as possible.
Welcome to a beautiful historic home tour in a charming small town in Indiana, where the foundation was repaired and the entire house was renovated from the studs while preserving original pieces whenever possible.
The homeowner kept and restored pieces from the 1800s that were from the home, including light fixtures, door knobs, doorbells, hardware and other historic details, giving the renovated house a connection to its past.
And the story doesn't stop at the house. She also carefully dug up and saved all of the plants from the property during construction. Some of the plants had been passed down from her grandmother and great-grandmother, making the gardens just as meaningful as the home itself.
This is exactly what Rebuild and Revive is about- restoring a home while preserving the stories, memories, and character that make it irreplaceable.
Come inside and see how this homeowner transformed her historic 1800s house while honoring everything that came before it.
