These little 80 series pistols are a must buy while they are cheap. I have three of the 81 models in 32acp. My wife and kids love the little 81 in 32 auto because of the low recoil. It makes them feel like Dad shooting his 92. The 80 series can swap between calibers of 32 and 380 by just swapping the barrels and magazines. There are videos of poeple doing this and it is confirmed on the Beretta form. These are well made high quality little pistols. Get them while they are cheap boys.

Palmetto State Armory has these TODAY for $279.00 in "Very Good" condition.

These are excellent, accurate little pistols.  The new replacement has a decocker which the 84BB does not have.

Good video. I like the overhead angle.

❤

Great review and field stripping!

My browning bda is nearly identical

Got mine at PSA for $300, very good condition. Mine does not have the mag safety, can be fired without a mag inserted. Also to reassemble, just push the slide into place allowing the spring guide rod to stick out the front, then push the button and flip the lever. The guide rod will snap back into place. Took me a while to figure that out. I love mine, very accurate. Kinda thick to carry iwb. Thinner grips may help some. After many hours of YouTube research ive kinda settled on Underwood defender ammo. No failures yet with any ammo.

For me I had to depress the guide rod, instead of the barrel, to get that takedown leaver to go back into position 🤷🏻‍♂️ it is finicky that’s for sure lol

Just got one of these still waiting for it to come in. thanks for the instructions on the field strip and trigger resets.

i have a beretta 80x cheetah and i love it i carry it everyday.

Can be a pain in the butt to reassemble.
My LE trade-in was filthy.
I think I understand why.

Yes it's worth it.   CZ-82/83 and the Bersa Thunder 380 Plus and the Astra A60 (someone, Bob's Trading Post, in TN,  I think modifies Mec-Gar Beretta 84/Browning BDA magazines for them to work in the Astra and works flawlessly.  Mileage may vary but Tanfoglio, imported by FIE and Excam(both merged and became EAA Corporation, who up until very recently, still imported Tanfoglio, o one of the first companies to introduce the CZ-75 to the Western World as pre- 1992 Czechoslovakia was considered a Soviet Satellite country and couldn't themselves) made a double stack version of their GT32/GT380, a clone of the Beretta 70 series also a good one for the most part,  the Italian-made ones.

Good review.  I've had at least one of them over the years and a Tisas clone too, but have let them slip away as I do with a lot of guns.  Then a week or so ago, I picked up a Browning BDA 380, a version of the 84, made for Browning by Beretta (1980).  This one is going to stay.  I paid a little less than you mentioned, but the Brownings always did sell for more, and it was in near new condition (one of the medallions has fallen out, a common problem I've read).  I've ordered a holster, and a couple of extra magazines for it, althought I doubt I'll ever carry it.  I just want to be able to.

My still shoots without the magazine

Classic Firearms has these for $299.

@1:58 My 84BB fires with the clip removed (apparently this was a factory option).

Bought 1 new for my dad in 1983 ! Unfortunately he sold it to someone without contacting me first and then it got stolen ! But did enjoy shooting it when he had it !
