I've always wondered if you need to spend obscene amounts of money to get out on track on a motorbike. So when the opportunity came up to buy a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R 750 for less than £1500, I snapped up the opportunity and decided to bring it to Lydden Hill and get ex-BSB racer and current Endurance World Championship rider, Tom Ward, to give it a thrashing.

I love mine…because it’s old and it’s affordable to crash.
Chatter was a huge problem until I found a used sigma slipper clutch.
I Had it mapped to get rid of the snatchy throttle when rolling back on.
Found a cheap k-tech cartridge kit for the forks, and an ohlins rear shock. It handles far better than I will ever be.

I had a K5 750 and I loved it once I'd upgraded the front brake.
The chatter was horrible on mine too😂

Haha love it, I was there on my first track day, had my K6 600 which is the bike in background at the start 👍

I’m now on a K5 750 and due to be going in August.

That's an ISR master cylinder. Highly adjustable for lever ratio. But often too big a bore for a nice ratio between master and slave cyl's. If it feels very solid and you need an unrealisticly high lever pressure for average to poor braking the bore is too big. Spares from BikeHPS.
