13:00 I think that makes the most sense .....a game of chance. Gambling. Maybe you put something inside, like bones or wooden balls and see which size it falls out of when you roll or throw it.

As a knitter and fibre crafter, I have always thought this is to make items with yarn, string or wire. It looks so similar to the knitting dolly or spool dolly that is still used today.

It's a legionnaire combinator. Each legionnaire had a different sized ring, and when they needed they all inserted them into the corresponding holes, "Legionnaires combine!!" and they would turn into a huge mega-legionnaire.

This reminds me of 2 things. 1 is Ariel using a fork to brush her hair. And 2, an old Dutch beer commercial where they a bunch of archeologists find the remains of humans, all with the same strange indentation in their teeth, and them having to clue what might have caused it. One of them just goes "man, I have no clue, want a beer?" before taking a beer and opening it with his teeth.
