As a retrospective perimenopauser, when Dr. Taylor asked the quiz questions for what craving is highest during perimenopause;  I knew it. I bursted out in laughter 😂. I lived that answer to the T.  Talk about being an average Joe.  At post menopause that craving went away overnight.   I literally had to go see a doctor to help me break the habit.  I wish I could go back in time and know all this info already.

Thanks to you, Doctor Taylor, I knew what to ask for at my new GYN. As a result, she discovered a hidden issue that I have had for years that was missed by the previous "providers". I am now getting proper treatment.  THANK YOU! ❤

Everyone needs to check their choline levels . B1 and b5 is needed to absorb choline . Choline is majorly depleted in menopause. It's huge on metabolism and insulin resistance and fatty liver

I have no cravings for alcohol and really never have. 😝
I pretty much stand out on my side of the family, as well as my husband's side of the family. I used to drink just a little and just at some gatherings, about 30  years ago, or so, only to fit in with these people.
When I went through perimenopause, I realized, what am I doing, I don't even like alcohol! So now for years, I could care less if anyone thought anything of me for not drinking. That's their prerogative. Not wanting alcohol is mine. 😊
I'll tell you, YouTube and Instagram really helped me with my confidence with this! I realized that I'm not alone, that there are so many people out there who do not drink!  That definitely gave me strength and confidence, as well as in many other areas. 😃🎉
It's true when they say you are who you surround yourself with! 😮

love the advice t1

You look stunning Barbie 😍 I admire your fashion on clothes so feminine and stylish with its unique features. ❤❤

I am so struggling with this. Got on HRT 2 1/2 years before hitting menopause and made it through the back half of peri with zero weight gain, muscle loss, etc. Hit menopause last November and I swear within a month I gained five pounds (lost muscle, gained fat), my belly expanded, and everything on my body redistributed itself. Clothes are snug that were never snug before. I am not joking. Look at me today vs six months ago and it's like night and day. You'd think that five pounds wouldn't be that big a deal, but it is. Thought I had my HRT dialed in but ended up needing to jump my estrogen by 30% three months ago. Taking progesterone cyclically due to intolerance, so I know water weight is related to that. I read that estrogen makes you gain weight, but I had heaps more estrogen four years ago and weight was fine. LOW estrogen also makes you gain weight. I guess I can blame the estrogen? Or maybe I just need to train for another marathon lol.

❤❤❤ watching from Spain. Great info, many thanks!!! 🤗

Thanks for putting all this together! I kinda understood where the ravenous appetite and carb cravings were coming from in later Perimenopause.  But what I couldn’t figure out was why HRT wasn’t fixing it! Now I know.. it’s the chaotic fluctuations of my own hormones causing me to set up camp outside the pantry😵 I truly hope that in post menopause, the HRT will help dampen my cravings since my body no longer make hormones of its own. Blessings.

Puberty is when the PCOS gene kicked in. I just had to look at food and I gained weight. No matter how active I was, anything I ate went straight to belly fat.

I want to be like you, Barbie, intelligent, on so many subjects (especially Menopause), and being slender.
Thank goodness for mild food cravings when I was younger and not now. Whew.
Ed has cravings for his plant based ice cream flavor of salt&caramel. Especially after a seizure.
Love and hugs to you…Maria 💕

Yes. I have never craved alcohol. At age 50 started craving red wine and drinking it daily while cooking dinner. Had to stop that! And i definitely feel better not drinking any alcohol. Now I’m 55, in surgical menopause for 6 mos. Using Estrogen patch and feeling pretty good. Carb cravings are strong. But I’m managing pretty well. Thank u for all your videos. ❤️

Excelente!!!!!🎉

I will schedule a consult with you. I have been watching you and studying simultaneously and reflecting about everything you teach. I have to say you make the most sense among all the other “ doctors” who promote themselves online. Everything you say makes total scientific sense and you are so smart. Estrogen is indeed mama bear hormone and everything you say about progesterone and testosterone is very true. Thank you for such service to humanity. Only smart women will follow your smart advice. I am done with all the other “ doctors” online who promote testosterone the way they do and who don’t tell the truth about the progesterone.

❤

I’m 39 and feel at maximum strength for survival..I have the face / waist fat phenomenon, my testosterone decreased, want smaller portions of food, no energy, huge fatigue, lost motivation for life and family, plus my craving for red wine completely vanished.

I craved red wine and lots of sweet around 35-37 and gained lots of pounds mid-section in a year but now my weight is stable .. so I’m confused here, I haven’t started any replacement therapy yet but was planning to do so with compounded biest estrogen 1/T1.5 cream and 100 micronized progesterone pills

I have only had 2 beers and 1 glass of white wine in my whole life and never had alcohol again as they tasted so disgusting. I never craved or even thought about alcohol in menopause at all.

Can I schedule a consultation to discuss my mammogram and subsequent ultrasound findings and advised “next steps”?  I am working my way through your “Breast Cancer” playlist.  I have been on HRT for about 20 years.  I had consultations with you several years ago regarding hysterectomy and HRT.  Not sure if you offer consulting on breast issues…

Please tell me how do we know how much estradiol we should take to have enough but not too much? Do you recommend a standard dosage for different ages? Should we get blood tests to check our levels and if so what should they be? I've been told that dosing should be based on symptoms which sounds good in theory but the symptoms of too little and too much overlap... I'm so confused!
