If Wei was in Yakuza, he'd probably be somewhere in the middle of A tier, like Akiyama, Tanimura & Arai AT BEST. But I love my boy Tanimura, I think he would beat Wei, with all due respect. But he wouldn't last a minute with the likes of Kiryu, Mine, Majima or Saejima.

Wonder what Ichiban matchup would be interesting

Not remevant, but I still remembered that time Kiryu threw someone balls first into an electrical pole as one of the heat action

To upscale Kiryu a bit more: side content/completion list stuff like heat actions n stuff like Jo Amon is canon, this means that Kiryu got moves that make him go light speed, and he fought n beat the Amon clan multiple times (They can move at lightspeed, start floating and use powers, and even teleport themselves and others)

The "Kiryu not being a killer" argument is really funny because when he is stitched up for the murder of the patriarch Dojima (in Yakuza 1/Kiwami) and sent to prison "10 years in da joint", almost every single one of his Yakuza clan brothers believe he actually killed him without a shadow of a doubt, which is the complete opposite of what the community who supposedly know everything there is to know about these games think lol, it's almost like they barely play the games or pay attention to the plot and just be larpin' online about knowing shit. Dumbasses.

The only hope I got for Wei is their fight being in a cutscene and he pulls out his gun

I struck gold

next time bro says 'diddy vs epstein isnt even close...'

Kiryu vs. Sifu protag would actually be a pretty cool fight, im still leaning to Kiryu winning, but don't underestimate the Sifu protagonist.

The Sifu Protagonist lowk destroys:
- An underground drug operation
- An underground martial arts school
- An entire museum full of security goons and trained martial artists
- An entire corporate organization with a fully trained private security force
- And finally, a sanctuary on the mountains full of insanely skilled martial artists
...all in ONE DAY in less than 24 hours.

On top of that:
Each group he clears listed above, has an insanely skilled kung fu martial artist master as the final boss, who has some sort of magical kung fu ability. Sifu Protag defeats them canonically by fighting them so well that THEY LOSE THEIR OWN WILL TO CONTINUE FIGHTING, and then proceeds to spare their lives.

Sifu Protag also has a pendant that revives him every time he/she dies, at the cost of one year taken off their life. (But canonically, the feats listed above he/she has done WITHOUT dying once)
