Man, the art in the adventure game screens is so good! It’s a really interesting game, though seemingly frustrating at times. Really appreciate you playing this one!

Wow the dialogue in this is sharp (dare I say 'burtal' hehe), probably more than all the previous adventure games we've done thus far. Also the noir music really sets the mood so well, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star included.

This was a game of a whole different caliber from back in the day. And I say that by having played the most stripped down port of the lot, the Commodore 64 version. It'll be a pleasure to see it via the upgraded VGA graphics.
Then again, the graphics used while driving the car are a bit close to what the C-64 was like. I expected a little more.
Oh, wow. Looking at the two games, side by side, it's like comparing good tap water to enriched bottled water. I can clearly identify those Cyber Trucks in the C-64 version. Sure, the lady doesn't look as nice and has no motion. And by looking at the room with the picture of the guy... the details come through. As if the PC one you got is 8.1 graphics and the C-64 is just 8 bit. Guess I didn't get much of a reduction in the experience at all.
Got to love how San Fran is about the only city that matters in California... save for the plot of civilization that is Eureka in Nor. Cal.
"Is K-Mart still open?" - Last I knew, it is. Supposed to be a couple actual shops on some island nation. And while the last of the real shops over in New York closed down a few months ago, there may still be one K-Mart left in Florida. My theory is that this strange branch fell between the cracks when it came to choosing locations to close down. For at one time, they were a full sized branch like most of them. But they made some kind of arrangement with the mall to close 9/10ths of the place down at some point. And what they kept was like the back entrance that looked like the garden center. It probably has three or four people staffing it over the week and who knows how the supply chain works. But it was probably the extremely cheapest K-Mart in the books to run. Looks more like a thrift store than anything.

You forgot to check if Leonard Maltin still gave Laserblast 2-and-a-half stars.

i hated these type of games as a kid where it mad you read pages of text or it made you randomly put in a code from the booklet to make sure you didnt get a bootleg copy of the game. i lost my booklet to maniac mansion and had to look up on old internet what to type in.
AAAWW YEAH im a juiced up 11 year old, gonna play some game on my dads commodore 64...oh its one of these.
then its back to playing High Noon or something.
