Another great video.  Something I'd like to add is that, I feel like you cannot talk about his 83 mph sinker WITHOUT talking about his rising slider.  A major part of the reason batters are so late on his 83mph sinker, is because they're gearing up to deal with his slider that rises like a 4 seam while being in mid to low 70s.

Somebody is bound to make the "i love when dots are far away from other dots" comment, so ima beat them to it.

In a perfect world Jays' opponents face Yesavage's sinker and then Roger' alien pitch and get whiplash

As a Giants fan, I still haven’t gotten over them trading him. It feels odd to say this about a reliever (especially one who pitches to contact), but he has always felt like one of the most consistently and reliably effective pitchers I’ve ever seen.

Unique players are so much fun to watch, and I’m very happy to see his continued success.

He’s so effective too. 10-15 pitches everytime he comes out lol. He just pitches to contact and gets outta the inning

The thing that impresses me most about Rogers is how split proof he is, especially as a fellow submariner. You see tons of other low slot guys struggle mightily against opposite handed hitters, but Rogers seems to be the exception

I've been watching Rogers for almost a full season now. He somehow still has me routinely going "what the fuck was that?". There's actually 2 pitchers in the league right now that the Trajekt can't emulate, the other is Yesavage who's arm angle is too high.

Well when you're built like slenderman and your knuckles are scraping the ground, it's kind of an outlier by default.

Mark Eichorn 2.0 Rogers even is a reliever for the Blue Jay's just like Eichorn was during his prime in the 1980s

Can you make a vid on Spencer miles ? Especially how his sinker despite its lack of “stuff” is one of the best pitches in baseball

There's been studies that have suggested that more info about the incoming pitch is passed in the moments leading up to release rather than after release.
Even if you don't consciously perceive it you may pick up the arm speed, the effort, the grip of the pitch before it is released and that helps you identify the pitch more than it's movement in the time it takes you to decide to swing or not. Obviously with Rodges its hard to infer much as his release is completely unique and that does even mention his pitch shapes.

I didn't need to see another compilation of Vladdy grounding out :eyes-purple-crying:

He is a good fielder and he is always aware of the situation on the bases. He owes a bit on his stats on the infield because they need to be on their game those batted balls are all over the place.
I love him as a Blue Jays. So reliable, he seems like such a good teammate.

Has me reminiscing about effective knuckleballers and sidearmers from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Submarine and sidearm pitching is peak bush league

One of my favorite pitchers in the league. He's such a joy to watch.

Jays dark horse WS run

Another thing I'd like to add as a jays fan is Roger's effectiveness is theoretically even greater in games where tre yesavage would've started for us. The incredibly high arm slot from the starter that the batters would've had to deal with into Tyler Roger's really low and slow arm slot, would have Def messed with the hitters too.

Also a great showing of Jays infielders

Jays fan. It breaks my brain watching him. Love it.
