This is a seamed together version of this game. The very beginning is a film synched with radio. That is followed by a lower quality version of The TV Broadcast. A High quality version picks up with a little over 2 minutes to play in the first half. I claim no rights to this content.

I don't think Woody ever coached a better game than this one!!

I remember this game well. I'm sure I was nervously pacing, at least until the score got more lopsided. Future NFL talent all over the field here, including several first rounders such as Neil Colzie in coverage on Lynn Swann.
The poor quality of this copy in the 1st half is actually an accurate representation of what it was often like to watch TV in 1974. I was my family's remote control. With a picture like that no doubt my mom would've to told me to get up and go fiddle with the rabbit ears and/or fine tuner.

Brings back the days of the crowd cheering for a 7 yd. run. Real football one of Woodys best teams.

What goes untold the most, is that Corny Greene threw to mostly Pagac for almost 130 yards on 6 of 8 passing

JK McKay would go on to play for his dad with the Buccaneers as well.

Here's an example of how football has changed: OSU safety Steve Luke (#46) was their starting center in 1972.

Another installment of OSU's string of falling short of a Natty title with incredible talent, circa 1969-2001. We played extremely well this game, but Cornelius' bad thumb precluded a W at Mich in the (in)famous 10-10 tie that advanced Bo's bad heart 2 days later.
We should have had 2, maybe 3, more Nattys from '69-'01 but gagged each time.

Southern Cal finished 9-2-1, losing to Ohio State 42-21 and Notre Dame 23-14, and tying Oklahoma 7-7—each of whom finished undefeated. Statistically, USC was clearly outplayed by both OU (339-161 in net yards, including 330-102 rushing) and ND (404-253, including 316-68 on the ground), but was considerably closer to OSU (449-406, 320-167 rushing). ND was the only team that led the entire second half against USC.

The PA announcer talking about energy. Here we are 50 years later. Same old shit.

Michigan should of been playing in this game not osu (B10 AD vote was bs) but, glad buckeyes won convincingly it was the only Rose bowl win for the B10 in the decade of the 70's
