Feels refreshing hearing actual English being spoken and not the rot we hear today

Proper telly. Progs like this were rare at the time but fantastic when they pitched up. Lots of memories.

I bloody love these uploads, they remind me of sitting in my mums front room in the evening after a big dinner and everyone watching telly when there were 5 channels to pick from. And because these types of programs were so rare back then you had to wait for them, they were so fascinating! Oooooo I love it 😄

Aye, it’s good to hear the dialects, especially as no one is saying ‘like’ after every fourth word 😂

I love old TV shows like this, you learn so much from them about things you wouldn't hear about today.

So good to see this again and for a misplaced lancashire lad so very heartwarming to hear those wonderful accents again. I miss the 70s and 80s and nice old ladies in woolly jumpers.

Ahhhhh...life before the curse of Reality and Celebrity TV........👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

When we talk about old haunted houses in America we’re talking houses built in the 1800s. A house built in 1260! Good lord that’s awesome.

The young lad from the family haunted by the grandparents was amazingly articulate.

The lady from Chorley had such a homely voice, reminded me of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit in the best possible way ❤

70's and 80's, a much simpler time. We have regressed 😢

I was a skeptic until I saw paranormal activity with my own eyes. I know 100% that there are things we don’t understand now.

Me and my wife were talking in the kitchen at our old house and we both witnessed a man appear in a tall hat and walk under the stairs and dissapear through the wall..we just stood there gobsmacked...

FANTASTIC! love how the chance to make this programing was still available for the BBC to make and Independent tv would make some similar Programming but not as bare bones as this more as entertainment feel.

I have been looking for this for decades. I remember seeing this as a teenager. The man on the stairs in the RAF base is very convincing. This was aired long before medium TV shows, celebrity mediums and internet

Wow .this is a few miles from where I live .there was so many local stories about this place ,the hospital they mention is long gone now .. this is a fantastic little gem thank you for posting x

I remember when this was first aired and it's still interesting.

Worth watching for John's lovely Northumbrian accent alone.

1989 ....was best year ever I was 16

This is a gem. Thanks for uploading.
