Pirates the only team on this list with a winning record? Dbacks went 86-76.

Channel slowly becoming a Drew Sommers hype channel

The dbacks were 86-76, with a roster decimated by injuries, and Marte and Carroll having down years. They're better than you think Wily, and better than the 82-80 Pirates

I think the Cardinals will speed run some improvements with aggressive spending after we know what the financial situation of 2027 looks like.

16:27 Bro missed a shout out to Hao Yu Lee

Jays fan here. Ithink the jays have a pretty good chance of bouncing back next year. Our starting pitching last year was decimated with injuries to the point where we were running two bullpen days in our rotation. All time horrible season from Vladdy and Kirk missing half the season were huge factors too. Not to mention barger and santander missing the whole season through injury too. Our bullpen was very good and assuming it can carry over to next year I think we’re in a pretty good spot when it comes to bouncing back next year. Ross still has alot of work to do in adding power (especially in the outfield) but I wouldn’t count us out next season whatsoever. Jojo Parker, Michael king and Nolan Perry all on the way too !

Address the cubs prediction

Should do the same type of video with the post season teams

speaking as a Reds fan, we are beyond cooked for at least the next 5 years, if not longer

I was expecting the Rangers to be #9 because they seem like the most average team that has ever existed. Okay hitting, okay defense, okay pitching, okay development

I think Javier Sanoja is the second coming of Jose Altuve. Ball knowers know. That kid is electric

You did disrespect the diamondbacks a little bit. You called the Pirates the only winning team on the list, the diamondbacks outperformed them by five games. I also think that you ranked them pretty low regardless of that small script slip up, but I can understand being higher on teams from easier divisions.

I’m excited for the Cards next year. Assuming our young guys get even better, it’ll be fun. Pitching is still going to concern me, though I liked the sample we got from Quinn Matthews.

Also (and of course I’m biased saying this) but I think Leo Bernal could be ROY next year, assuming he builds on the sample we saw from him.

Where would you rank the teams that have already been eliminated on this list?

Astros, Red Sox, and Cubs

I am super low on the Astros future. They have one top 100 prospect who's an 18 year old in A ball, their hitters are old, and their pitchers are 22nd in SIERA.

Cubs will probably see Josiah Hartshorn and Owen Ayers in the next 2 years, but don't have much more in their farm system. Jaxon Wiggins's walk rate has shot up and I don't know if the cubs pitching development have the tools to fix him. Their position players were first in wRC+, FRV, and WAR, and while there will probably be some regression and some players will leave in free agency I expect them to retain Seiya who's the best of those players. The offense and defense will very likely remain at or near the top as long as PCA remains close to as good as he was in 2026. The pitching was 28th in WAR and is by far the biggest concern, but they were only 17th in SIERA. They'll get Cade Horton, Justin Steele, and the 2026 breakout of Ben Brown who leads cubs pitchers in WAR with only 68 innings pitched before he got hurt. I don't know how many innings to expect from those guys but the cubs probably need to spend a lot on free agent pitching in order for it to be a strength in the next 2 years.

Finally the Red Sox. I think they probably have the best future of the thee teams despite the notable abscence of any 10.6 WAR players. Franklin Aryas should make an impact in MLB next year, and their farm is still decent outside of him despite trading away so many guys to get Adley. They were third in pitching WAR and 6th in SIERA and 13th in position player WAR. Payton Tolle would win RoY most years, and they missed Roman Anthony most of the year.

Not sure where I would place them on this list.

What team are you a fan of?

I am not sure what the rankings are meant to predict. The likelihood of making the playoffs next year? Putting the Mets ahead of the Jays and Diamondbacks seems far fetched to me. In the Jays case their failure to make the playoffs comes down to injured starters and Vladdy's mediocre year.

Diamondbacks were also winning team.

I think for the Jays you forgot that Barger and Santander didnt play this year

Angles should be higher just becauss Moreno is gone

I would definitely be higher on the Mariners simply because their farm is good, they still have some good major league talent, and also the future outlook for basically every other team in the division is pretty bleak
