I grew up watching these chase scenes so the modern CGI ones always look fake too me.

McQueen is also the King of motorcycle chases in The Great Escape.

They ruined car chases with over the top cringey fast and furious CGI crap

The best part of the "Bullitt" chase is when the dude driving the Charger sees that Mustang in his rearview as it pops up.

Glad you included The Driver. It has some classic car chases and when he demonstrates his driving ability by destroying the Benz is an all time classic scene.

The last scene of dirty Mary crazy Larry. Is in the opening credits of the TV show The Fall Guy. Just a piece of useless trivia but it's true.😊😊

When Elwood Blues removed his hat in respect for the Bluesmobile I always shed a tear.

Mad Max is my favorite- but Bullitt (sp?) is the all time great... so there's that

@ 7:26 Academy award to the stunt woman - acting like a bad actor - acting like an old lady. Brilliant!

Bill Hickman and Cary Loftin were two of the best stunt drivers in Hollywood. RIP

The Seven Ups chase is in a class by itself

My favorite chase movie is Duel in that there was more intensity in the drama of the hunt and chase. Action scenes notwithstanding but constant action and crashing doesn't necessarily make a good movie. In Duel, the whole movie was a hunt and chase scene but it was as intense as any chase scene movie I know of - for most of the movie! That is, Duel worked as it focused on the drama of the chase without majestic and exaggerated music and without the constant crashy action. Kinda like Jaws - that movie was scary as h*ll with very few actual shark action scenes - like when the shark "'appeared" during the singing of "Show Me the Way to go Home." Friggin' one of the scariest movie scenes ever!

I have always been a huge car chase fan R.I.P. Bill Hickman. I wouldn't waste one minute of my time watching a CGI chase it looks cartoonish and it ain't foolin nobody!

Watching this brought a tear to my eye seeing those beautiful cars being destroyed. There's not too many around and they're expensive. I can see why.

The Blues backflip was done for real? Wow, who knew. Oh, yeah - all of us. Still a great movie, mind

Crazy Larry switches between a 68 and 69 charger. Notice the grill center bar disappear.

This is what i hate about hollywood these days. Everything even the simplest scenes are CGI. As if that wasn't bad enough, everything is completely unrealistic, exaggerated and often completely stupid.
