the death stats: crafty kind of sucks
reality: crafty locked the fuck in

They put Crafty’s ass in the torment nexus Jesus Christ

every time they cut back to crafty hes in the worst situations possible

Crafty is not getting canceled because we see the redemption of his christlike suffering

54:46 I love how people went from "Crafty lock tf in" to "wow, wait, you're actually goated."

I feel like almost every issue this run had was basically entirely unrelated to the games being Roguelikes

Oh, Smant has to play a roguelike he's never played before? Finally, an even playing field.

I'm still trying to escape floor 1. Send help.

Smant counting down to win his level actually just being a death countdown for everyone else is crazy

Watching everyone cheer Crafty on was so heartening! He really went through a training arc and took off the weights once he un-randomized those enemies 😂😂

Crafty never finished a run of gungeon and was playing with random ennemies. If anything I'd say he was the one that locked in the most. He did what took me 50 hours in 5. Genuinely impressed by the god gamer at work there.

havent finished the vid yet but i am sooo hoping crafty doesnt feel bad for all the deaths that have and will happened, dude is genuinely playing with rock lee's weights on and i dont think he realizes it. like im amazed hes able to keep up at all

I don't think rogue likes are bad Archipelago games. They're just bad death link games because you lose so much progress. In most other games a death is an inconvenience, but it will rarely set you back 30+ minutes.

To be fair to crafty what he went through is literal hell

The issue is that you didn't prove Rougelikes as bad for Archipelago, you just proved that you played with the wrong settings. Smant not being able to play things he hadn't unlocked yet, the issues with deathlink, Fir having unlocks set for stakes other than gold stake, and Crafty going through the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for, like, 4 hours really muddied the experience. So, obviously, you have to prove that Rougelikes are bad for Archipelago by doing this again. Clearly you'll have more fun doing it all over again, trust.

People who don’t play spelunkey have no idea how locked poo was that entire time that game is as hard as it is fun

Vampire Survivors feels like the antithesis of a game smant would enjoy

Crafty was sentenced to 30 years in the torment nexus then came out swinging

The randomised enemies in ETG were pure chaos

It was nice to see Crafty get a protag moment for once.
