Keep watching science fiction vids . A I is amazing and only getting better.  Keep up the hard work.  Your getting better each time you make a story that could be true.

I like the concepts introduced in your videos. They are not like many others. Opening screen and action or copies of copies of copies. I’ve been experimenting with AI video myself and found a major problem: translating what was written into a scene without having to write everything again myself, while still having influence over what actually gets put into that scene when using AI.

I’ve written 6 books and have now built my own AI-assisted Book-to-Screen pipeline called Cinefora.

The main thing I’m trying to solve is keeping the writer in control rather than having AI make all the creative decisions. It extracts characters, locations, assets and scenes from the source, lets you approve what becomes canon, and then builds the production material from that.

I’m currently looking for a few writers/AI filmmakers to try it with a chapter of their own work and tell me what works and what doesn’t.

I’m not trying to sell anything. It’s a small private beta at the moment. Your video actually made me think you might have some useful insight into the workflow.

I don’t know if anybody else noticed, but the first hint of the coming horror was foreshadowed in  chess scene. They idea that a Deep Space Navigator and his AI Copilot would find that board set up and the subsequent move “Knight to F5“ acceptable was truly a DEI Hire nightmare.  Much more terrifying than a spaceship being sucked into a black hole.

Great story!  Is this his back story as to how he got to be floating thru space?

There may have been another option. It depends upon your angle of approach to the black hole. If it was a straight-on approach, it still might work. It really just depends, but it's a slingshot effect.

You save your engines, leave them at idle, and let the black hole pull you in. Your acceleration will dramatically increase. At the right junction, you use the full force of your engines to create a slingshot effect. Picture you've tied a string to a rock and you're twirling it. The more you twirl it, the faster you twirl it, you will notice that the rock increases its angular momentum to leave your hand. Where will it go if you let go of the string? It depends upon you.

At the moment the engines fire full thrust, that's exactly like letting go of the string. If the slingshot effect builds up enough acceleration, it will whip around the black hole and out into space. They don't die now. They die later because they won't have any fuel left to get to their final destination.

Should the ship survive, the best course of action would be to set the sleep pods to priority power and shut down everything else. One person, every 500 years, will awaken to check the course and trajectory. That's about all you can do.

If no other power is being used, it can be determined how much power you have that would last, just using power for the chiroprats. It could be thousands upon thousands upon hundreds of thousands of years. The speed of acceleration around the star could dramatically increase your forward velocity. It could bring it to about 30% the speed of light. It depends upon the size and mass of the ship. Oddly, the greater the mass, the greater the pull. The greater the pull, the more acceleration you have. Still, at 30% the speed of light, and if you were still lined up with your destination, you would have no way to stop and slow down.

When you got to your destination, you would be able to see your destination as you passed by. You couldn't land or stop because you don't have fuel. If you had a quarter of what you needed to get to the final destination, if that was still in reserves, you could still get to your destination. You would continue using the slingshot effect as you entered the star system. Larger planets: you could do an atmospheric drag on the outer atmosphere to slow you down. You would have to be very careful. When you reach the speed that you would need to have to enter orbit around the planet, your final destination, fire your engine in a short burst to break orbit in the right direction. The rest of the fuel can't be touched yet.

Next, you are approaching your final destination planet. You are at orbital speed. You just make enough of a burst to insert your ship into a permanent orbit, one that does not degrade, because you won't have any more fuel.

Reaching a permanent orbit, maybe you could take shuttles down to the planet. It doesn't say that. It didn't mention any shuttles. Maybe that part hasn't been written yet, or maybe you're the third group or second group of colonists. That means there's already a group there, and they would have shuttles. In other words, it took you a while, but you got there. Maybe I should have been a writer.

Minor nitpick: Nebulas appear to human eyes as faint fussy patches.  And even then you need a good scope and as close to total darkness as you can get.  They are simply too dim to activate the color receptors in our eyes,.  

Those spectacular pictures of nebulas require several thousand dollars of astrophotography gear and exposures of about 40 minutes for each of three colors. Then the images are 'stacked' onto each other and the contrast between each color has to be adjusted.
