This family is as toxic as it can be.  They are arrogant and entitled.  They not only treat Madison badly but the staff at the resort.  Sapphire cove is a wonderful place and needs a good owner.  I hope she stopped this 15% discount for her selfish family forever.

Sometimes the people closest to us are the ones who hurt us the most.

I can understand doing as your told as a kid, as unfair as it is, but once your 18, say no

They never treated you like family,  they treated you like a servant

Your family should be beyond ashamed of themselves.  Cut all contact with them permanently

How could they not realize how you felt, being constantly taken advantage of for 20 years, ever since you were a small child.

abuse comes in many categories

Just shows exactly how little actual interest they took in you and your life and career and how little they actually knew about you

Well Chuck. You deserve everything that happened to you. How the hell can you let family treat you like they did.

This family better watch it - op sounds like the red queen from Resident Evil

You managed to succeed without any support from your family while your siblings had everything handed to them

Why would she allow them to treat her like the help for so long?

An aunt and a cousin treated me badly.  Bit there were others who eventually put them in their place

I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW A PERSON CAN LOVE ONE CHILD MORE THAN  THE OTHERS. I HAVE 6 SONS AND THEY ARE ALL GREAT IN MY EYES😂🎉❤

Idk anyone who grew up in Connecticut who has a British accent

No wonder it was tough a wooden stake.

The way your family constantly tried to squash your dreams and discourage you from ever pursuing any of your dreams is disgusting.  They completely funded your siblings college and lives while leaving you completely on your own. The blatant favoritism is disgusting and favoritism only breeds entitlement

My parents loved us all, but at times they preferred one over the others and than switched it up, mostly they supported the ones who needed it more just a little more.
I always thought they preferred my older sister, she got more privileges than us younger ones,  But years later I found out that my older sister did not want to be the responsible one and the one and the independent one.
Wile my brother and I where the trouble makers.

Loved this story, took you long enough to say NO!!

no one knows this, but, children dispise raising  siblings.
