where is step bro when you need him

Every plane has around 6 minutes of flight time. Only fighters have more range because of their speed. Larger planes have more fuel but the same flight time

I think a good solution to the fuel problem would be to implement a system where the aircraft would have more flying time overall, but crossing regions would take a larger chunk of the fuel. This way dogfights could last for longer but small fighter planes couldn’t just fly across half the map which would be unrealistic for such a small aircraft. Bombers and Paratrooper planes could then be buffed by not consuming as much fuel while crossing regions so that they could more effectively fulfill their role instead of harassing the backline.

So I've used AA, and in short, it's bad to the point of being useless.

Scout planes need to be able to be built at shipyards. Lean into their naval capabilities, and reduces the amount of people at airfields, just in case. Also, I can see the Collies getting the WW2 Germany experience, unless they make fighting bombers easier. We about to have the shortest war in a while, and not in a good way

The fact that the pilot uniforms and the fighters, dive bombers, transport planes, and nearly all the plane parts cost rare mats is insane. I could maybe understand if the bomber plane frame cost 1 rare mat, but the price is way too high for what they offer.

I have tested AA with some regiment during yesterday and let me tell you, it borderline useless.
Currently the biggest problem is that it is nearly impossible to aim due to how camera works. Second problem is slow rotation of emplacments, if there are planes that are circling your AA, you have basically no options to track them reliably. Third problem that is exagurated by previous two is abysmall damage of AA, its extremly hard to kill planes since it takes quite a lot of hits, not to mention it is dificult to land them.
I guess the idea with flak guns is that you guide them using Radar stations but i would say they are worse then AA machine guns. Firstly they are imposible to aim at close range. If they had close range option (even with their low traverse) they could be used against close in planes at least a little bit. Secondly they are increadibly hard to use. I guess the idea was that you use radar stations to guide them, but coordination of this task is even more difficult than countre battery fire with regular artilery. Imagine trying to hit a moving vehicle with artilery and that vehicle is fast and can change directions really fast. They are cool, but i think we first need some sort of fire directors that would ease up the coordination required. They could just increase the damage 10 times, but that would just make them increadibly unfun to play against.

+1 Groundcrew and gunner. I don't mind flying but I like other roles more!
I really think that the Devs need to reduce the costs a little bit, otherwise you're going to get another "Navy (Phase 1)" release, in which very few people actually play Navy 'cause it's too darn expensive... they will need a lot of tweaking in this update.
Otherwise though, the update is AMAZING . I love flying over the land, and watching all the players do their own things while I fly overhead. It completely changes the battle dynamics, and now nobody is truly "safe" !!

Planes are way too expensive for their functionality.

As a R0botex (Artu_Win, PEPEGA 404, Svinom, FreshOstrich193 - my regiment guys), the plan was to go with a fighter, but I got stuck on the road. At 2:05 I was in the same situation, and I spent about 30 minutes using a bike to get back my plane. Eventually, I destroyed the paratrooper plane, but I hate taking planes to the airfield because the road is really bugged with invisible structures

One of my biggest issues is that you cannot pick up aircraft: if there is an octogonal trench and you get your wheel stuck in it (very common) you have to 1st repair the plane completely, 2nd dissasemble the plane completely, 3rd daisy chain cranes so that it can go to a airfield depot, and then you have to reassemble the plane. And this is so much more difficult with planes crashed far from airfields. They need to let us pick up damaged light planes and put them onto flatbeds and be able to cut the big ones into 2 and move those on flatbeds

The devs might need to change the release date...

Really excited to do like deck crew on a carrier.

Recovery of planes is terrible
No ability to tow planes
Have to remove all parts to a plane to package
Parts have to be "In a vehicle with a stockpile" (This is the trailer for the R1/Taurine, which can only carry 2 parts, and has to be the SAME part to load 2)
Then the plane has to be packaged, and physically carried to a stockpile (Requires a train or a long windy array of daisy chaining cranes to get it to the BACK part of the airfield)

One guy on the feedback threads (Scrogar) posted a good bunch of slides showing how the devs opted for a high damage/high cost concept for aircraft, which he argues goes against their V I S I O N of multiple groups, including randoms and solos, working together to influence the frontlines. I agree. These absurd prices will discourage use of any aircraft other than scout planes until the last day of the war. There will be no regular sightings of bomber formations, for they are too expensive and don't have the flight time necessary to form up either at the airfield or a rally point. Anti-air of all forms are impotent at the moment and running combat air patrol is impractical with the seven minutes of flight time. You will instead see the occasional single bomber diving onto the one facility that might be in range, leveling it, then running out of fuel immediately afterward. If little to nothing changes before the update war begins, it will be a unfun mess where any new player will be barred from flying and will most likely forget about this game.
There are ways to make planes accessible and have good flight time without making them overpowered. There are niches that can be filled by each airframe that ground vehicles can't. The devs better be working their hardest for the next couple of weeks, otherwise the biggest update since naval will be a flop and the game's reputation will be damaged for a long time.

This update needs another 6 months tbh, there's so many janky glitches for what will be a very high population war.

this update will be absolute disaster

06:30 - It’s funny because as a Warden player, it was the Collies that flew all the way to Warden Dam to bomb my runway as I was trying to learn bombers. Sweatlords on both sides.

I agree with the "no AI " air defence thing and it needs to be emplemented ... during low pop time there are GOING to be swet lord clans that call in holidays to do late night boming raids, and you know the 10 dudes defending wont know how to use the flack guns effectivly and entire sectors will burn down. they need something to be able to build to hold an area. It can be balanced to concrete only defence or something i feel.

Good video.
3 days later the devs reduced the cost of planes across the bord.
they have less health in return.
means AA does more dmg and they are improved overall.
big AA flac gets an update next week.

less fuel used if you throttle down so higher range.

Planes can no longer be stolen aside from scout planes.
Planes have a 48h squad lock.

All planes land.... eventually.
So no worry about landing. :D
