Hi Deepak and Aboli,

To be very honest, I feel ₹20 lakh for the interiors is too much for the final outcome. At this budget, I was expecting the house to have a much more premium, aesthetic and thoughtfully designed feel. Right now, overall it looks quite simple, and personally I’m not getting that “wow” factor or aesthetic vibe that I would expect after spending this amount.

I also feel everything was done in too much of a hurry. Maybe if a little more time had been given to the designing and planning stage, some things could have been thought through better.

One thing I noticed particularly is the mandir and TV unit area. When you stand in the hall or sit on the sofa and look towards the mandir, the OM background gets hidden behind the curved portion of the TV unit. Because of that, even the mandir corner looks a little congested and squeezed.

I feel the mandir should have had a much cleaner and more beautiful visual presence from the hall, especially because it is such an important and beautiful corner of the home. The OM should ideally be properly visible from the sofa and main seating area. That curve of the TV unit interfering with the mandir is something I feel should have been noticed and corrected at the designing stage itself.

For ₹20 lakh, I personally expected much more detailing, better space planning and some unique design elements that would make the house stand out and feel more premium and customised. Right now, I feel the design is nice and clean, but considering the amount you have spent, it could have been much more aesthetically impactful.

And I don’t mean that they should have added more and more things or made the interiors heavy. Simple can look extremely classy and luxurious too, but then the proportions, finishes, detailing, lighting and overall flow of the house need to create that premium feeling.

I’m only telling you this because you have spent such a big amount, and I feel you should get an outcome that actually looks and feels worth ₹20 lakh.

And genuinely, I feel if you had got it done through Dinesh, he would have done it so beautifully. He probably would have brought much more character, warmth and aesthetic detailing into the house. Looking at the final outcome and the amount you have spent, that was honestly the first thought that came to my mind.

Of course, this is just my personal feedback after seeing everything. The house is still beautiful, but considering the ₹20 lakh spent on the interiors, I genuinely feel it had the potential to look much more premium and aesthetically designed.
