There are moments in life when you discover something so beautiful... only to realize you found it years after its greatest moments had already passed.
That's exactly how I've been feeling lately.
About eight months ago, I began my journey into heavy metal and hard rock. Since then, I've fallen completely in love with the music, the musicianship, the stories, and the incredible community surrounding it. But as I've watched legendary live performances and learned about the artists who built this genre, another feeling has quietly grown alongside that excitement...
Sadness.
So many of the bands and artists I've come to admire have retired, broken up, or passed away. I'll never know what it felt like to stand in those crowds, hear those songs for the first time, or witness those legendary moments in person. Sometimes I watch old concert footage and honestly get emotional thinking about what I'll never experience.
Maybe that's just part of life. We all discover certain things too late. But I'm also incredibly grateful that I found this music at all.
This video isn't about regret—it's about appreciation. It's about honoring the legends who changed music forever and being thankful that their art continues to inspire new fans like me every single day.
If you've ever felt this way, I'd love to hear your story in the comments.
Thank you all for welcoming a Hip-Hop head into the metal family. These last eight months have genuinely changed my life.
