Dead by Daylight isn't the only game with entitled players. Every community has people who think there's only one "right" way to play.
At the end of the day, your fun is your own. Whether you play competitively, casually, go for achievements, or just want to have fun with friends, no one else gets to decide how you should enjoy the game.
Please do NOT harass or contact the streamer featured in this video. This video is about discussing entitlement and encouraging healthier conversations, NOT sending hate and being hateful.
What's your most memorable Dead by Daylight encounter?
Whether it was wholesome, hilarious, or toxic, I'd love to hear your stories in the comments!

Game: Dead By Daylight
Someone accused me of cheating and claimed that's why I didn't show my POV. I already explained this to them, and it's also explained in the video: I wasn't streaming. I was just playing to get my achievements while hanging out with my friends.
I think people who cheat in online games are fucking losers. The reason they cheat is because they have a skill issue. I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at the games I play, and I don't agree with using third-party software just to gain an advantage. That's dumb as fuck.
This same user then started complaining that I blocked them. Why did I block them? Because they accused me of cheating, then later tried to claim I was harassing them simply because I was replying to their comments, and threatened to take legal action.
EVEN AFTER I BLOCKED THIS USER, who claimed that I was "harassing" them, they went ahead and made a brand-new account just to comment again.
Ironically, bypassing a block by creating a new account to continue contacting someone is much closer to the definition of harassment than me replying to comments on my own YouTube channel.
LIKE I SAID IN THE VIDEO, I WASN'T STREAMING. Just because I'm a content creator doesn't mean I'm going to record every single game/match I play. I'm a normal person like anyone else. Gaming is my coping mechanism and one of the ways I relax during my downtime.
Making content is just a hobby and something that helps fill my days since I'm unable to work due to my health and disabilities.
If I don't like your comment, this is MY YouTube channel, MY comment section, and MY platform. I have every right to delete comments or block users if I want to.
I've been called a stalker, a cheater, and even had people call me the R-slur, all because of this video.
Don't like the video? Don't watch it.
Don't like my takes? They're my opinions. You have your own opinions, and you don't have to agree with mine.
Don't like me replying to your comments? Then don't leave a comment in the first place.
I apologize for the clear frustration in this edit. But frankly I am tired of how miserable the internet and gaming community is.
**END OF EDIT**
I received a comment claiming that I "stalked" this player and that I shouldn't have gone into their chat after the match ended. I joined their chat because I genuinely wanted to understand why they believed I was playing "sweaty." Instead, they went on a rant about me using my power as Nurse. (The comment was deleted, but I still want to address it)
The match where they were shown tunneling and slugging was from the same stream where they were criticizing me for playing Nurse, and it was the only stream we watched.
My friend also helped a lot with this video, and he was the one to actually find the parts where he slugged and tunneled, surprisingly it was the first thing he saw when clicking through that VOD. They were the one who went back and looked through the streamer's killer matches, especially since the streamer had invited me to watch how they play killer themselves.
I also believe it's important to provide evidence when making claims in a video like this. I wanted to support the points I was making rather than expect people to simply take my word for it entirely.
I'm also still new to creating commentary-style content, so I struggled a bit with the scripting. Looking back, I feel like I spent more time defending my perspective than fully explaining the entitlement I was trying to highlight. I still addressed it, but I think I could have presented it much better.
Another comment I've seen is that the insults in this video were very "tame," and I agree. However, the insults themselves were never the point I was trying to highlight. Like I said in the video, I don't care if people call me "sweaty."
I've dealt with far worse harassment in Dead by Daylight than what happened here. For example, another VTuber admitted she was "triggered" (her words, not mine) because my sister and I slugged to lure other survivors out so we could secure more kills. She then sent her community after me and tried to paint me in a negative light, and that harassment lasted for about 1–2 weeks. I've also had someone raid my Discord server to spam false accusations about me. And like my past video, being made fun of for my voice and harassed in my chat.
Compared to those experiences, this encounter wasn't the worst I've had. What stood out to me was how this streamer embodied the sense of entitlement that I've seen from some survivor players. That was the reason I made this video.
While this kind of behavior is unfortunately common within the Dead by Daylight community, that doesn't make it okay. I wanted to call it out because I don't think anyone should feel entitled to tell others how they're allowed to play the game.
I really appreciate all of the feedback I've received, both positive and critical. It's helping me improve, and I'll continue doing my best to make future videos even better.
Thank you all for the feedback! ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
