There is a pattern to the life God has called us into.
The Spirit does not lead men into disorder; He teaches, corrects, restrains, and forms Christ in them.
To walk with the Spirit is to submit to His dealings, discern His movements, and honour the instructions He gives. What God intends to build in a man cannot be sustained by spiritual excitement alone.
