I have the last generation N4, and on Sunday it showed it value.  My wife was driving along in the left lane a tow truck with a car hauler on the back of it swung wide while turning right, and the car haulers fender came into the left lane and hit my wifes minivan.   While the front camera clearly capture driving by the tow truck, from the back camera it was absolutely crystal clear the tow truck had veered over into her lane while turning.  The really cool thing about these 3 cameras in this arrangement is that it actually covers your car pretty well, even though there isn't cameras on the left and right the cabin camera catches a good chunk of what occurs on the left and right side because of the windows.  

For those that don't have a dash cam, I would highly recommend it, this incident will cost around 8-10k to fix, IMHO it payed for itself many times over.  I am going to be pulling the trigger on new version for my vehicle.  One other thing I can recommend is there is an addon (I want to say) where you can power this directly from the fuse box so you don't lose the cigarette lighter, we use it for chargers often times, and doing it that way the system always has power which works for the parked bump features.

One thing I will say is that the app is a little janky.  You have to connect to the dashcams network, then goto the files on the memory card, select your videos and then download them.  I rarely do this so its a pain when I have to because the UI/UX design is a little confusing.  It all works okay but there is definitely room for improvement.

Overall though I have found the Vantrue to be a great camera, its really clear, the sensors are fantastic and overall the clarity is really good.

I have had this dashcam for over a year I am happy with it.

Just today some random Nissan driver drove on the wrong side of the road to reach the left turn lane. They squezed between our vehicle in the left lane facing the correct direction and the vehicle in the left lane of the side the Nissan was facing without even slowing down a bit. Dashcams are truly a MUST HAVE! I have the RedTiger F7NP and for most driving scenarios it does extremely well for the price. My dashcam has captured 2-3 accidents in under a year of ownership. I live in the city, so bad drivers are everywhere. It even captured my sister running a red light by mistake!

Here in Georgia, it's illegal to mount dash cams on your windshield, but you can have them on your dashboard. More dash cams need to have that mounting option, so you wouldn't have to buy a separate mount.

Any plans on reviewing the Reolink Pro series cameras and NVR?

I have a few cheap dash cams and backup cameras, haven't bothered to install them yet. My days of tearing my car apart to add stuff constantly are about over but I have the skills and tools. Ambition isn't what it once was, I just want things to work 😅 thanks for the in depth review and I'm sure it's a expensive setup, watching now.

A tip on insurance. If something hits you on the road like a rock or whatever and the insurance company asks did this fly off the road and hit or was it on the road and you hit it.? The answer is it fell off a truck and hit your car directly and did not hit the road first. You can look up why but that’s all I will say. The second thing I will add is it’s always good to have the lowest comprehensive plan on your car like zero dollars or 250 rather than 500 or more. Windshields break other things happen and it only cost a few bucks a month assuming it’s in your budget.

Take a few minutes extra to run the rear camera wire through the rubber boot and you neither have a hanging wire or have to purchase a clip to mount on the rear headliner.

Is this better than viofo? Video quality-wise.

I'm looking for a dash cam which can see forward & rear, but something I can't find it a way to record what's happening out of the driver door and passenger door.  If law enforcement is standing on either side, I want that recorded with audio.  I guess it might also help if someone impacts from either side, but mainly want to track police interactions.  Does a camera like this exist?  if anyone knows of one, please let me know.
