This is nothing important, but wanted to say for foreign viewers that a lot of the times when Roope starts to talk, he says "No" or "Noh" which literally means "well". He's not saying "no" as English speakers would understand it. We Finns tend to say "no" before we start to speak. It gives us a small window of time to think about our answer.

Guys please try to reach roope again. I think that if the metal community shows interest it could help him to settle a better way of life. Dont let this legend die alone too

This guy is a living legend to me. I started playing the guitar religiously after watching the Vivaldi-Cover of him and Alexi. Met him around 2007, when I thought it was a good idea to go to the concert like 6 hours early, just to meet Alexi. It was fall and it was cold, snow laying around. I had nothing to wear than a something wild hoodie. Roope came out of the bus and gave me his jacket, saying something like "I come from finland, I'm not cold, I don't need the jacket. We had a friendly talk and made a picture together. I still wear the jacket from time to time, even if its way too big for me. I love this guy. Sad to hear that he's having a hard time, I really hope he can cope in another way than drinking. There are some people you just want to see happy.

I love how he called himself a “homie”, meaning that he spends time at home.

This is one of the saddest stories in metal. Roope was one of the main influences to a prodigy who would eventually supersede him. Alexi was living the dream as he was the songwriter of the biggest band in Finland, with his guitar hero sharing the stage with him every night. Now, Alexi is gone, Bodom is finished and Roope will never receive the "thank you" he deserves. RIP, Alexi, and RIP CoB.

COME BACK ROOPE, WE LOVE AND MISS YOU

Heartbreaking interview. Looks like Roope really needs some support.

Put Roope and Ozzy in the same room and try to understand them.

Being fired from COB really broke him 💔 Hey Roope, there’s still plenty of people who like you for being you.

I hope he can see the comments in this video, how many people admire him and wish him well, all around the world! Miss u Roope, you are one of my top 10 guitarrists and a huge inspiration!

We need Kekkonen back on stage and FAST! Dude is a beast on guitar and so nice guy.

We love you Roope. Don’t hold any anger in your heart. You’ll always have our love.

Roope, if this ever reaches you, I wish you the very best. You are a legend, you are the best.

I wasn’t gonna comment anything, but… ”Deathcrew Hateroll”.

We need a new Roope interview!

We love you Roope !!!

Smile because it happened!

I think Roope should have a guitar teaching "clinic tour" and work with young people for a year or two. That is the best way to get back on the feet and feel good again. Roope deserves it.

So many people lose their will to live after a failed marriage/relationship that doesn't even last for 10 years. Imagine how devastating it is for him to suddenly live a completely different life without touring/making music without any closure from the band.

I see a lot of people saying how tragic it is to see Roope this way but if you were in his shoes, you'd probably go thru the same things that he's going through at 51 years of age.

Really hope Roope finds the drive to do music again. Thank you Chaoszine for this straightforward interview.

I like his honesty. Typical Finn, no pretension, ''it is what it is'' attitude.
