Still doesn't feel like it has been one year since Mart did this dumb idea. But for all the donations and content like this, I respect this Aussie very much for commiting to it

A bizarre and weirdly emotional finale fitting for the saga, I wonder if Martin will do something like this again or if he'll choose to lose his mind through other means...

Also, the game ending is winning the rally and dating the girl and getting the call from her, so technically you CAN "win" at the game, you just get nothing for doing so

I envy Mart's trip to Finland, mainly because he gets to leave

So the ending was a tad different than this here on stream.  He did one of those idiot tier messages and then woke up in Finland.  There he actually showed the devs of the game on camera..  then shot them.   So in case you were wondering, My summer car is based off a place in Finland.

5:38 A missed perfect chance to look directly at camera like the frog did

Imagine getting into a car crash then being arrested for murder because you reincarnated faster than the other guy

Finland forgave you... But Finland will never forget you.

Martin also cut at the end the moment where he shot and killed two people that were the personification of youtube chat with their donations and dumb memes. you can see that on his last stream on his channel.

Finland, if it exists, is around 7600 KM from the US by air, so my man nearly drove the entire distance while constantly dying, rebuilding his engine, and going to prison.

42:40 it’s actually the building that the in game building is modeled after

The car he got wasn't a Datsun / Nissan Cherry, it was an Opel Kadett. Closer to what Jani (yellow car with stripes) drives in the game, but finding a Datsun / Nissan of that model and year in running condition or for a remotely sane price is nearly next to impossible. They were kind of shit box cars in real life not just on the game

your expression while he is burning his house down is priceless

I don't know why it took me this long to come to this realisation, but Mart truly does look like an Australian Mr.Bean.
Right down to the weird faces he pulls, strange sounds he makes and the fact he drives a little compact car 😂

I still find it crazy that My Summer Car's map is a REAL PART OF FINLAND

'twas a glorious finale, Martin absolutely nailed this series of videos, on top of the genuine feat of managing to drive so far in this crazy game, what a legend

So, i just finished watching his video before coming here. I had actually went thru and watched ALL of his 6500km drive streams starting with the first 24hour one. as someone pointed out, the final bit played differently on stream. it cuts to the live action stuff like you see, then he drives the last km in real time to the shop (with a brief stop to get offered money by some random people to turn left before he shoots them lol). the stream ends with the trunk bit and him saying "fu-". then just a black screen saying thank you and the total raised for charity, which was over 30k USD.  ngl, it was such a perfectly done bit that it actually made me cry.

and yeah. alot of crazy things happened. so many crashes, so many engine rebuilds. the final 60kms was INSANE with everyone trying to kill him with donations. interesting to see his final video and the narrative constructed. some of the stuff was planned, some clearly wasn't, like the house, lol. it all actually got me to try out the game, and even taught me some tips and stuff about it. was a great experience.

19:39 legendary timing

Lets go! Have been waiting for this!
