I've been driving electric cars for over 10 years and have owned multiple MGs, including the MG5 and MG4. After spending a week and covering almost 650 miles in the new MG IM5 Long Range, here's my honest owner-focused review.
The MG IM5 is a huge step forward for MG, offering premium build quality, impressive efficiency, advanced technology, excellent comfort and a surprisingly refined driving experience. But is it really the almost perfect EV?

Despite the generous 457-litre boot, I couldn't fit my full-size adult bike inside, which was a surprise considering my smaller MG4 can manage it. I also discuss some of my criticisms including the screen reflections, limited regenerative braking settings, lack of glovebox storage and the missing automatic high-beam assist.

Overall, the MG IM5 feels far more premium than any MG I've driven before and shows just how far the brand has come.
