In Ingrid's defense about her shocked expression, it's one thing to suspect your friend of wrongdoing; it's another thing to have hard evidence that you can't ignore.

"Why did they decide the whole book club was in on it?"

Bro, Tony's sister was in the book club. That's why they only found some of the books, they were spread amongst the club's homes.

for the school poster thing
there is one clear answer
"there is nothing more permanent, than a government's temporary solution"

TO, BE, FAIR, if Ingrid was putting down the magnifying glass you WOULD put it on the paper as a reflex in order to protect the lense from being scratched

1:37 ironically, the majority of dumb adult criminals tend to run home thinking this exact same mindset. I guess Tony thought “running from authorities” was a better option than “authorities tell on him to his folks”, and I can’t blame him. Getting in trouble at school as a kid is one thing, seeing the look of disappointment on your parents’ faces hits a lot harder.

"someone thought it would be funny if he used the 'great escape' to escape"
yeah, CAUSE IT IS

0:35 Wurm is another term for Dragon in Germanic folklore. They were known for hoarding gold and valuables. It could be because of the idea of greed that is the in the episode.

14:34 Dude I think the writers just made that absurd room name and purpose as a joke. Theres no way they wrote the words "Broken furniture, platform storage, and torn poster repository" in the script, had the VA read the line, and had the background artists actually write it clear as day on the door and it not be questioned once. It has to have been a joke. 😂

In regards to Mr. Geary, this series basically treats the kids like mini adults. In "Ingrid Third, Public Enemy #1," they let Fillmore access security footage at a bank and the principal is constantly threatening to shut down the safety patrol as a motivator.

0:55 Little detail I like is how Tony is often shown snacking on salty pretzel sticks as effectively a stand in for the more harmful vices or pass times criminals use like smoking cigarettes. It's not necessary but a fun little addition to play into the whole "this is CSI for kids."

A good follow up to this would be the BIG TIME episodes from Batman Beyond. They deal less with redemption and more about how far you should go to stick out for someone to change and turn their life around.

20:40 did you not notice the toy is a golf club. The writers planted the seed for the golf episode. So Filmore learned the lesson  here. Explained it. But he has 1 more thing from his past he was reminded of here. The character development was crazy for everyone. They just forgot to write a mystery lol

14:57 as someone who worked for the national park service and a few other government positions as a maintenance guy... You would be surprised how often broken stuff is shoved into a back room for maintenance to fix... And then never given time for.

I like this episode because it shows Fillmore as being flawed, he's so ready to give up on Clementina but Ingrid reminds him that someone gave a troublemaker like him a chance and look where he is now.

Whether someone DESERVES redemption isn't the point.
What matters is that someone is GENUINELY trying to make amends.

20:12 It entirely depends on the school, some actually give busy work that's not actually your homework to do, and others don't really care as long as you're being a quiet redeeming little egg. And some just let you sit bored so you might as well just draw.

I like the subtle visual storytelling of Ingrid covered in powder as she was trying to get the fingerprint. Tells you how long she tried and failed at until she finally got the goods.

Dont forget that Orlando Brown is Fillmore.. just want the brother to get his credit

15:56 Simple: It felt like a Sign from something higher up, telling him: "You can change, it's not too late".

Hell yeah, getting getting some "more" of my "fill" for Fillmore...

Yeah I'll see myself out...
