I need you to stay calm and hand over those game recommendations. RIGHT NOW!

'no little German boy, don't go into the Union Plaza!!'

'oh mein Gott, zis place ist full of monster spuken!!!'

The sheer speed at which Entity A gets reinterpreted from a horrifyingly aggressive nightmare to a confused and lonely animal is amazing. Just one scene, and it invokes so much emotion without going against what came before.

My very first thought when I heard who we were and what we were there to do was "oh no... we're here to fix something that isn't broken, aren't we" and that just continued to be aggressively, horrifyingly true the whole time

Fun fact about the Type-05 robots
The Type-05 robots were never meant to be maintenance units. They are actually old, decommissioned riot control robots from Earth, and their intimidating design was fully intentional as part of their original role. When Union Plaza started struggling financially, they bought these outdated units and repurposed them for maintenance tasks inside the lunar base. This forced reuse explains why the Type-05s feel so unsettling they were never designed for careful, precise work, but for intimidation and control.

PS: Dev-confirmed lore.

So in the end the murderous AI we shut down was the only good guy trying to protect everything.

Scottish guy here, that is just a Scottish accent and not a particularly strong one, I would say central Scotland. Wait till you hear a Scottish accent from up north past Aberdeen region it gets so bad even we struggle

Fun Fact - The heartbeat sound you hear in the ASN is actually my baby Boy's heartbeat from his ultrasound in the womb :)
Great video!

There's also huge Book of Genesis themes in the game that I think are important. The outstretched hands of the astronauts at the end mirroring Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam makes it pretty clear, but also the two creatures are the first of their species but are made to suffer because the female one eats a forbidden fruit. But the entities aren't the only Adam and Eve in the game; Eve was created from Adam's rib, a part of Adam's physical being, just as the moon was created from debris cast off of the Earth.

an interesting note about the hollyhock flower - apparently it's known for being particularly appealing to many pollinators. so even the specific type of flower is a deliberate thematic choice

Watching you wander around in the beginning of the second half NOT looking through the CAT after being explicitly told that you can only see it through the CAT was horrific.

It's a story about deadbeat dad.
He came to the Moon, knocked up the Moon Princess, gave the whole Moon std and left his child to fend for himself.

I love on how the moment when Cooper was staring  at the body,  you can immediantly (forgive my miss spelling) tell that the sickness had already started to attach itself on him just by looking at the recording real closely. (The screen was turning green by the second).

Firstly, congrats man!!

Secondly, I'm a wuss who can't deal with horror games/films directly so I appreciate videos like these where I can experience the game vicariously. Seriously though, I love how your videos are a mix of lets play, recap, narration and analysis. This was clearly your most ambitious one yet and it paid off.

And who knew it was a love story between the earth and the moon all along...

Thinking about the Secret Sleepover Society stream of this where the monster just never decided to go invisible so they had no idea they weren’t supposed to be able to see it

So in short the current moon mission is basically the foreplay for interplanetary reproduction?
Well that's a calming thought ...

1:04:03 "I have played enough horror games to know where this is going".
Yes, but def didnt watch enough horror movies! Never shout hello into an empty room!

IC! NOOOOOO!!!

He was too good for this cruel world.

I do understand people can have various interpretations but at 1:58:00 I had a very different interpretation. I don't think Entity B was A's mate, I think that's it's mother
Not only because of the themes of pregnancy and parenthood throughout game,  but if you look closely you can realize Entity A is simply a child. It's wandering around, plays with the only  other living thing it's seen in years, it pukes (not sure if you ever encountered that) it cries, it's even smiling at you as it chases you. That scene, where we see Entity B looking at its nest, that's A in the nest.

34:18 Noooo!!!! He had so many people to make in to buffoons
