Stage 4 cancer. When I go I want my children and friends to pull out all my Floyd albums and raise a pint and not be sad. This music defined us and bought us happiness and reminded us of sorrow at times. Either way it sure was a great ride. Don't feed into today's crap, love each other and be kind. Blessings to all.

11:08 Dick Parry, the man whose lungs brought life to this (and many others) marvellous Saxophone lines, died today at 83yo.

May his soul rest in piece knowing that he helped to change the world, because every time this song plays, someone's soul and heart are healed. That's God's work, purely.

RIP Dick Parry, you'll never be forgotten!

Peace 🤍

I was in the army in Germany, smoked some hash, and watched from the third floor barracks window as a storm approached across the whole sky from miles away, while listening to this. What a great high that was.

I miss my mom.
I lost her on december 7, 2025. Man. What a strong woman. I was supposed to watch her grow old. Everyday i wake up, i have a knot in my stomach. Its so tough. Ive had friends pass. I know people who has lost their mothers as well... but that was my mom. I dont know how i am doing this everyday and going on with life without her but i believe shes the one doing it for me. Im strong too. But damnit man, i miss her so much. Everyday is a new kind of pain when it comes to missing her. I love you momma.

Rip Dick Parry. Listening to this solo after learning of his death legit caught me off guard and shed tears. He got to contribute to something really beautiful.

The story of this song is one of the members of Pink Floyd was on drugs bad and he got so crazy that he turned himself into rehab. When he eventually got out of rehab, he went back to the studio to find the rest of the band who were recording this song which was about him. The member was Syd Barrett, the original guitarist, songwriter and frontman for Pink Floyd. He was the "diamond."
