Is it possible to have a **home backup battery**, plug it into a wall outlet, and still have power during a blackout? In this video, I test the **OSCAL PS 2000**, a modular LiFePO4 battery designed for home storage, self-consumption, and backup.

The main unit has approximately *1.92 kWh of capacity**, and in this test, I also use an additional module to bring the total storage capacity closer to **4 kWh**. We analyze its installation, connections, operation, mobile app, and, above all, we conduct a **REAL blackout test* by disconnecting the house from the electrical grid.

We'll also see how to connect **solar panels directly to the battery**, how its MPPTs work, how to use it to power critical loads, and how to configure charging and discharging from the app.

Among its features are *LFP (LiFePO4)* cells, approximately **3,500 cycles to 80% capacity**, expandability with additional modules, solar panel connection via **4 independent MPPTs**, WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity, and a dedicated output for critical loads during a blackout.

Can a battery like this become a simple alternative for having emergency power at home? We find out in the video.

⚠️ Remember that the installation, connection, and configuration of any energy storage system must be carried out respecting the manufacturer's instructions and applicable electrical regulations.

Leave a comment letting me know what level of autonomy you would need during a power outage and whether you would install this type of battery at home.
