For over 10 years, Dragon Age: Origins was the closest thing to a Baldur's Gate 3 cRPG fans could get, until the actual BG3 came out. So Larian creating a Dragon Age 3 (since Inquisition and Veilguard were never numbered) would be hilarious.

Also just some background info on DA2. It was originally meant to be another expansion, like Awakenings, but the executives pushed for a new game instead. They only had about a year of development I think and iirc the original name for the expansion was supposed to be Exodus. EA wanted to make Mass Effect and Dragon Age yearly action games like Call of Duty and wanted less focus on RPG mechanics.
