Not a good job. So many things wrong with the technique.
The contacts have overhangs, proximal contours don't look right. Occlusal anatomy was shaped really poorly. Composite placement technique itself is not correct.
I prefer to create each of the marginal ridges one by one first, then proceed to restore cusp by cusp using small increments to merge the material with the margins. This dentist just smushed in the composite like they're doing an Amalgam. They probably don't understand concepts like C-factor and Polymerization shrinkage. This patient will probably have recurrent caries due to marginal leakage.
Not bad. Can’t help but cringe at that slight overhang on the proximal contact on the mesial marginal ridge. Hope the patient didn’t get secondary caries from that. Otherwise, nice job.
