🔥 Welcome to Emmy-nominated journalist Wajahat S. Khan’s YouTube channel — your one-stop shop for hard-hitting journalism on Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the wider South and Central Asian region. Straight talk, no filters.
Wajahat has reported from 16 countries across South and Central Asia and brings deep on-the-ground experience to every story. He attended Karachi Grammar School, where he edited the school magazine; the University of Michigan, where he served as one of the editors of The Michigan Daily; Harvard Kennedy School, where he was the first and only Pakistani Shorenstein Fellow; and Columbia Journalism School, where he was president of his class.
He served as NBC News’ bureau chief in Pakistan and Afghanistan and later as Digital Editor at Nikkei Asia. His work has appeared on CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, and many other global outlets. He also helped launch two of Pakistan’s biggest news channels, Geo News and Dawn News. Over the years, he has interviewed virtually every Pakistani prime minister, president, and army chief since the early 2000s — and embedded with more than 120 frontline units of Pakistani, Afghan, NATO, and ISAF forces.
Wajahat is based in New York City and heads the Pak Futures Foundation, a nonprofit focused on connecting and energizing the Pakistani-American diaspora. Learn more: https://pakfuturesfoundation.org
