I just want to say thank you. I have let rip with the pentatonic for 30 years and can easily go up and down the neck. I've always been frustrated that I didn't know how to add a jazz flavour when it felt right. I am self taught and have no music theory. Your video has literally opened the door for me. Really appreciate it.

Oh so that’s how they wrote the Pink Panther

Not gonna lie- this is probably the first hooky titled guitar shortcut video THAT actually LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. Its super easy, it works, and it sounds good.

I'm gonna file it in my brain as the "smear up" hack!

nice stuff man :)

I’m primarily a bassist. This is the primary technique we use for walking bass lines.
When I do play guitar I do this sort of thing without really thinking about it and my friends are always impressed by how connected the lead I’m playing sounds.
Definitely great advice here.

Thank you for this amazing gift lesson

I like how you made something that seems confusing (outside notes and chromatics) and explained it simply.

But even better was how you integrated into stuff everyone already knows.

This is great teaching 👍

The most valuable guitar lesson I’ve ever had. You have no idea how this video unlocked my playing and changed the way I see jazz from now on. Thanks 🙏🏻
