When I played as a child with my brother I always wondered why the heroes didn't have those skins that appeared on YouTube. It took me a while to understand it.
I feel like the shadow effect really dulled down the Spike Hero reveal. I didn't even realise it was any different at first, and it was impossible to distinguish in the heat of battle.
It's a shame most fans of Crash hate the mutants saga, while i understand some of the reasons (gameplay wise mostly, it feels like Crash is thrown at the sideline since a no mutant run is basically impossible, and the 2nd game had an horrible open world design) the games had some good things going on, in particular giving Nina a main villain role, the option to play coop, the gimmicks of the mutants, and giving Aku Aku more character.
I really loved the Hero versions of the Titans especially the Grimly one which was my fav, however i remember in my game there was a visual glitch which showed them almost as the same as regular ones but with a different color idk why, probably i was supposed to download a patch which fixed the issue. Edit: Nevermind apparently they weren’t able to put those “skins” in the PS2 version which was so disappointing.
am I the only one who didn’t get why there were those heroes? I remember when I was a kid I thought they were like the kings of each mutant, and the spiky one could’ve removed the spikes next to Crash’s house but that never happened that was so good in childhood but anyways can someone explain me that?
