Eddie Mustafa Muhammad played Billy Fox in Raging Bull.

Those faces, Kenny Albert was a kid and I didn't know Bob Arrum was ever young.

This was the time when they walked in the ring to fight without any hype: no rap song, no flashing lights, no flashy clothes.

This was back when interesting fights, such as this one, would regularly appear on network television.
Today, we would be forced to pay ... to watch even this.

It's a case of an average Heavyweight beating a great Light-heavyweight.

Eddie actually beat Saad Muhammad at one time hard to believe looking at him in this fight.

I scored it 100.91 for Snipes.A split what a crock of shit.

@ohlordherewegoagain 3 years ago

snipes threw some beautiful round house punches n dis one that would have made " two-ton tony galento " proud.

Side note, Eddie went on to lose his tittle and 15 round decision getting dropped in the 12th round to Michael Spinks who's at ring side scouting Eddie.

That extra weight would later consequently cost Eddie his Lt Hvy title.

On hearing the decision my first thought was "In what alternate reality did Muhammad win this fight?" as one of the judges had it scored in his favor. I found this on boxrec that helped clarify it:

"Long time Jersey official Paul Cavaliere...had his card announced at 5-3-2 for Muhammad! Following the bout Cavaliere was adamant that he had Snipes the winner, but Deputy Commission Robert Lee refused to change the card. Apparently Paul had the boxers mixed up while giving the rounds to Snipes, he marked them for Muhammad"
