My favorite thing to do in the 90s was fake sick so I could stay home from school and read Goosebumps books burrowed under my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bed sheets while listening to Backstreet Boys cassette tapes on my boombox! I felt so much bittersweet nostalgia watching this, so thank you. I also love that you put side by side the DiCaprio clip where he's decided to end his life with his being mauled by a bear 🤣

I still watch 90s sitcoms and cartoons on my crt tv. I guess we are addicted to the comforts we enjoyed in the past.

I was born in 1990 so full on kid nostalgia for it but I definitely felt and it was backed up by adults and media that wars were something of the past and we were just heading on into peace forever…. Then 9/11 happened.

I was in my 20’s in the 90’s, working and paying my own way and enjoyed the 90’s. Music was great, rents were affordable, cars were affordable and the world was mostly at peace. I was thinking things were only going to get better. We peaked as humans in the 90’s. Post 911 it was all downhill. I keep on keeping on though. I have kind of created my own little 80’s/90’s bubble to live in to stay sane. 😄

The Millennials want to be frozen in time in the 90s. I think we have the Peter Pan syndrome.

💿For me the 90's was the last time anything was kind of good & even if some shows, food ect.. might not have been that good (or good for you) it was okay. We were all sharing things together (like watching a TV show at the same time everywhere) unless you recorded it on VHS :D  *it just seemed more connected in a real way, less surface level & more natural connection.  Loved riding my bike after school, doing pop-a-wheelies off the curb and walking around the neighborhood after dark. Also hearing my mom yell out the kitchen window that it's time to come home for dinner. Last time Saturday morning cartoons were actually good. Also absolutely did "bloody-Mary" too😂 -Most of the time it was "good times" and at least I had a little hope that things might turn out okay back then.

And I surprised myself by very nearly tearing up at, of all things, the old PC solitaire cards bouncing and arcing after winning a game. My mom LOVED playing solitaire on our old computer in the 90's. She played pretty much everyday. She passed away in 2022. Grief is so weird. The most unexpected things will make it raise its ugly head.
