Great beach finds at Delray, nice to see some new species 🎉❤😊

Sharmin, you don't know how bad I needed your video right now!! It always calms me and your voice is just heavenly!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!

Thank you so much for your beach walks!  Not only could I not walk the beach, I can’t walk far enough to get TO the beach.  You are my legs as well as a guide.

Wow! Sharmon what a great hunt! I've never seen or heard of some of those shells before, I learned a ton! Thank you for taking us with you! Have a beautiful week out there!

Very nice collection of East coast beach jewels. Yes, that’s my name to describe seashells. Ocean Jewels.

Sharmin for me I think this was one of the nearest beach walks you have been on. Thank you. See you next Sun.

Girl, I would just spread them out on my desk and stare at them for days on end. You have had a banner coupe of weeks here!! I'm so excited for you!!❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 Congratulations!!🎊🎉

And, thank you for the 'beach time"..... very relaxing...

Dear Sharmon,
Wow, what an amazing collection of gorgeous shells!❤
When I saw the beach, I was sure you wouldn't find anything special, just crushed shells.
I'm so glad I was wrong!😅
The Cabrit Murex is my most favorite. The shape, the color, just WOW!😍
I'm so happy for you that you finally found one in camera!
The east coast treated you well that day!
My dear beach friend, I hope you have a fantastic week! Sending you lots of love and hugs, xoxo ❤, Ilona

The coffee bean has a smiley face on it!

Sharmon, that looked like a great shell hunt.  The "ledge" is the drop off, some places more noticeable than others.  Thanks for taking us along.

Not a bad haul!  That's a whole lot more than what I found on the beaches of Texas.  I only managed to find a handful of coquinas on Mustang Beach.  And on Padre Island, we found some hamburger seabeans, mermaid's purses, and a couple of sea hearts.  No shells at all, but I'm happy with the other beach stuff.

Oh, Oh, Cabric Murex is Awesome! Absolutely love them.. Thanks for introducing them to us! ~
I'm loving the sheer number of Tiny shells. Pure delight.. So great to arrange & display.Lovely.. ~ All the new shells you showed us, WOW. Mouse Cone, Deltoid Rock Snail, & who would have ever guessed that tiny jewel was a Queen Conch? Thank You, from MN. I was in heaven seeing all the Tiny shells!

I really enjoyed this beach walk, love all those augers, especially the shiny ones!  But my favorite would be the sundial!  It is amazing how many different species you found, and they are all beautiful.

It was so amazing to see you have a spectacular day of shelling on the east coast! I definitely think all of those olives are Bolling's Olives just the normal light color form, but sometimes it is very difficult to tell. Also, those Shiny Augers are insane!

This was such a fun episode to watch! 💙

Great day of shelling! Southeast shelling is so exciting because of the Caribbean species. Here are a few identification suggestions. Hope this is helpful
14:10 Caribbean Coquina (Donax Denticulatus)
8:10 Beaded Miter (Neotiara Nodulosa)
17:22 Zebra Periwinkle (Echinolittorina Ziczac)
23:00 Cuban Drillia (Drillia Havanensis)

Nice to see you there too! Thank you for the mention—super sweet of you. So fun to see the dredge sand popping out the shells! Your Cabrit's tail was SO nice and long - so many were broken off in Delray - you got a beauty! Congrats on all your firsts! Love love love the Sunrise Tellins too they can be SO glossy. 🐚🌊😍

5:54 I’d say a Juvenile Wavy Bittersweet, Glycymeris undata but a chance it could be a Decussate…so hard to tell when they are that small w/o seeing more of a mature pattern. Decussate’s have more of little short lines and the Wavy is more of a splotched lining that can blend in as they mature.

10:49 looked like a Lettered to me but all the others you featured were the netted I’d say.  Southeast FL has Lettered, Oliva sayana and Netted, Oliva nivosa. Those are officially accepted by WoRMS.

11:04 WOW that is an Altenate-ribbed Scallop (but 21:29 was a scaly scallop). Those are more rare than the Scaly and their texture is rough and ribbing is alternately raised like the one you found. Super cool! I’ve only ever found a few of those. I find the scaly’s all the time.  https://www.seahorseandco.com/shells/altenate-ribbed-scallop (if you go to the Florida ID page you can see the Caribachlamys lineup they have featured…the Altenate-ribbed, Ornate, Scaly and Knobby scallops side-by-side.

13:15 Painted Egg Cockle (aka Ravenel's Egg Cockle), Laevicardium pictum

13:36 Yes that is definitely a Bollingi piece! The brownie; Oliva nivosa bollingi. O. nivosa are the netted olives. (fulgurator is an older accepted name). The scientific name Oliva nivosa bollingi is accepted by WoRMS and used by the Bailey-Matthew’s Museum for the brown netted olives as they stick to what WoRMS deems acceptable, according to this bollingi is a subspecies of the nivosa species under the genus Oliva in the family Olividae.

The confusing part I think is b/c Americoliva which traditionally has been treated as a subgenus to Oliva has been reclassified and accepted by many as being an independent genus from Oliva in the family Olividae, so there is a debate on genus classification in the Olividae family. WoRMS, the official registry doesn’t accept Americoliva as an independent genus.

The following names are what the netted olives have been changed too by those accepting Americoliva as an independent species: Americoliva bollingi (netted olives), Americoliva bollingi bollingi (the netted brownie olive). Those who do accept Americoliva as an independent genus has “bollingi” as a species which is the netted olives and all netted olives are bollingi in different color forms according to those that support this classification. WoRMS deems “nivosa” as the netted olive species under the genus Oliva. The genus Oliva, is the traditional classification genus and Americoliva is treated as a subgenus of Oliva not a completely different independent genus. The debate started when Americoliva was treated as an independent genus for our regional olives.

If you type in Google search box, “Why is there a debate between naming a genus Americoliva and Oliva?” It gives the details on this scientific debate that is still very present in the scientific world. But regardless it is still speaking of the same olives we appreciate whatever side one’s on—that is confusing for sure.

16:24 Those peanut shells COVERED the grassy areas up by the dunes. When my friend Shilei and I went one time with our kids. They had handfuls in just 5 minutes so I’m sure so many got washed down by the wind from the dune grass.

I love your videos. I've always loved shells and have some. But the ocean terrifies me. I could never go to the beach unless the water was gone. You are so great to do these videos. You are a helper. 👍

Congrats in so many different shells!! At the beginning I "blew" the sand for you and then I realized I cannot do that from here! That was funny! Great video, so cool as always!!

Do you see the little man happy face on the coffee bean lol😅
