Yeah , this clickbait title just says "rumors", not anything he ever said and my Uncle was a scout sniper, same theater, made it, at 17,all the way thru, to 21, unlike most of his company, and also , every time he got shore leave was busted back to private and suffered from the tropic diseases and ptsd curses and was the nicest guy to his nephews and only made it to 49.  We owe them a lot.
