Thank you for this video! My Denon LA2300 seemed to be slowly fading away, but this simple fix made it run like new. And for so little money! I found a source for an original belt equivalent (Pioneer VEB118) on eBay as the assortment I bought first didn't turn up anything usable. Thanks again!

My DVL-919 won't play the B-side of a LD, or rather it starts up and immediately sticks and repeats a short clip. So I have to get up and turn the disc over like a common troll. With this information, I'm going to replace the belt while I'm in there, and look to see if I can tell what the problem is, possibly just lubrication. So thanks very much for the intro to the innards of the machine. Here's an idea for something else you might like to report on: Super Audio CDs. They're still out there! I have a Sony DVP-CX995V that plays them fine. It's had the belts replaced.

Makes me wonder, if the 909/919 player ins black were US/NTSC only. I'm searching for a black model sind "ever" and never saw one with a 220V PSU/PAL/Scart. May be it's easier to import just a player from the staates or stick to my champagne 909 🙂

I’d love to have some help with a Pioneer cld-m403. Similar issue, but the tray is supposed to lower down to read the laserdisc but it doesn’t want to lower or lift on it own without some help.

amazing video, learned so much more than changing the belt. I have the champagne version of this player and sometimes, not always, perfectly fine films, go noisy for a bit or the it begins repeating chapters. Usually towards the end of a side, although not always. Do you know how I can fix this please?

Seller: LaserDisc loads and plays but skips and repeats sections frequently
• CD loads and plays but also experiences intermittent skipping/tracking issues

Issues / Required Service:
• LaserDisc playback has repeating/skipping scenes → tracking or laser alignment problem
• CD playback also exhibits occasional skipping
• DVD movies cannot be fully tested because playback requires a remote

have the same LD, do you know what could be the reason that when playing a movie it goes into a repeat loop? its usualy 5 seconds everytime reducing time more and more
