Watch this go viral I planted a seed.

Nothing makes me smile harder than seeing people experience Pink Floyd for the first time.

There's a reason that "Dark Side of the Moon" spent 917 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Top 100. That's 17.64 years.

Watching people discover Pink Floyd is like watching a baby discover chocolate.

My cousin was hanging with me one night, chatting shit. I’d played him a couple of Pink Floyd songs and he never really paid attention. Then I said “listen to this, listen to this woman’s vocals...btw she doesn’t sing a single word!” He looked confused. Watching his face when she started singing is one of my happiest memories of him. He wanted to listen to song over and over. Then the whole album. The next day he went out and bought six pink Floyd albums and has been hooked ever since

I been listening to this song for over forty years, it STILL gives me goosebumps.

You know the coolest thing about these vocals? No autotune.

Once you get into Pink Floyd there ain't no going back forever your life is changed

Take a bow Clare Torry. Greatest vocal performance ever.

"I want to play it again!"

Yep and you will for the rest of your life. Once you feel the Floyd it never goes away

Probably the most emotional rollercoaster song and not a single lyric... Genius

Almost 50 years later and this album still blows my mind.

This singer without words bring us through the 5 stages of Death: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression anf finally Acceptance. She does this as a master class no?

And just think. She doesn’t say a single word. She didn’t have to

White girl singing.  Mind blown!  She was paid 20 quid and got a bottle of Heineken for this performance.  She did this in two takes.  UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!  One of the most soulful performances in the history of music.  CLARE TORRY!

It's about death. Clare starts off with rage at dying which slowly transforms into calm acceptance.

"Time", which is the song immediately before this, flows directly into this one so they should really be played together. The whole album really is one continuous experience that is totally worth investing your time into to hear as one unit. You won't regret it.

Floyd needs to be discovered by even more people. I actually feel bad for people who have never heard Floyd music. Good to see you found them sir.

This song is about death and the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. When this is performed live, it is usually sung by three separate vocalists. Denial and anger are sung by the first, bargaining and depression by the second, and acceptance by the third.

Played this song over and over during labour of my youngest, lost myself in the music for a while, it eased the pain. 😁
