This is an amazing topic. I have slacked for years and felt uninspired… that cloud has just lifted! Thank you Sean for this conversation.

Thank you for this Special moment. I had the special privilege of meeting and working with Ced and his wife. What's so unique about them both is how they grew in the gospel industry together. Certainly more to unpack of this Brother. Thank you Sean as always.

Listen -- Cedric and Lance together is a masterclass -- Lance's ear and phrasing is masterful and Cedric's voicing to give Lance the space -- Blessed to know both of them -- Not to mention the great Eric Brice is on guitar -- this is a musician's dream team

Great Job. God bless you, Sir!

Yes sir!!!! Cedric is a true beast!!! I met him and he's a really nice guy!!!

I’ve always loved his style. His whole family is gifted, also. Thank you for shouting him out!

That move at 9:19 is classic Ced Thompson……one of the best examples of his work was with Rodney Bryant,  My Fathers Business album.  Came out back in 2001.  Check out the song “At the feet of Jesus”.  There’s a lot of Ced Thompson isms

YES! I'm glad to see somebody do something on Cedric. He's one of the most talented in Gospel. ANDERSON, SC...I bet I could name the song intro that he's talking about. He and Richard Odom showed me that intro maybe 35 years ago. He's also a great brother who has maintained his humility in spite of his many accomplishments. That you for recognizing his greatness, Mr. Wilson.

I've known Ced for some years now. He is low key one of the best musicians I've run across. Super humble and one I really enjoyed working with in the past. I met him when he was 17 while he was playing with John Kee. I also remember him playing for the late Donnie Graves in Fayetteville, NC. He was a beast even then!! He doesn't get the hype that other musicians get, but he's just as lethal on those keys...especially organ!! Thank you, Sean, for shedding some light on this phenomenal musician!!

Cedric produced Potter's House Mass Choir "Grace" live in Kenya.

I always loved how he played “A Praying Spirit” for Karen Clark.

Found sir Cedric for the first time I think last year on Gospel Producers and wow. We need to learn more of him

Can you point me to records he played on?

Thank you Sean

Thank you for this breakdown @SeanWilsonPiano sending appreciation from the 🇬🇧 I have been an admirer of the late Minister Whitfield since the mid 80’s

Musicians need to STUDY scripture. They’re the most neglected when it comes to theology.
