This lady just wanted to talk to someone. She knows she didn’t need the financial advice

@Tehui1974 2 years ago

She needs to see a counsellor. She doesn't have a financial problem, she has an emotional management problem.

I want to meet this woman’s lawyer. Ninety percent of the marital assets? Wow!

Owns a home. Debt free. 650k in brokerage accounts. Brings in 4k a month with 1500 in expenditures. ....this isnt a money problem.

She sound like she’s having a panic attack on the phone

I've been through that. My first wife always told me I was crazy and would constantly play the victim, even breaking down crying because I was suspicious of her and telling me I was breaking her heart. Turned out I was right and she'd been sleeping with at least one of her subordinates the whole time (in his mommy and daddy's house, no less). The divorce was gut-wrenching and I had a hard time trusting myself (let alone other people) for a long time afterwards. That hurt doesn't go away, but it becomes easier to carry.

Through her sobbing tears, she is describing the most one-sided divorce settlement that I’ve ever heard of, with her being the big winner…

There are 3 sides to every story, his side, her side and the truth and i know that this lady is hurting but my gut tells me she aint telling the whole story.

I know she asked a money question initially but this call seems like it should've went to John Delony's show instead of this one

This woman is a mess. She's not telling all of her side of the story. There is more to her issues that she is leading on to.

@sblijheid 2 years ago

Just give the kids the divorce transcripts. It's not wise to tell them not to have contact with their father. It's up to them.

@marciaduncan9040 2 years ago

She had bypass surgery. She did have an issue with food/eating. Addiction runs in her family so her brother being an addict and her having no safe emotional control makes it very clear that (as she admitted) there's an issue with control or balance.

I have no idea why she’s worried about finances. 650k at 45 years old is enviable. I’d retire today if I had that much.

@slonikvasa 2 years ago

She needs to get into professional therapy ASAP. And no relationships for a while until she builds herself up piece by piece.

@JonathanIvy221 2 years ago

Wait, she called asking if she should stop investing and then she goes down a rabbit hole of emotional rollercoaster.

@Asian-Dad-in-WA 2 years ago

She'll be fine financially. emotionally she will need time, counseling, friends to get support from.

@coda700 2 years ago

She’s a good example that money does not solve all of your problems. Praying for the best for her and her kids.

@ebonyjohnson965 2 years ago (edited)

She won 90percent of their finances in the divorce. Wow. That means he only has $72,000 after 21 years of marriage and she has 650,000. Her ex should be the one crying not her.

I wish someone would have asked what the disability was at 45 years old. It's kind of pertinent in this conversation in order to get the full picture. Also, I wish the husband would have called in right after her to tell his side. One sided conversations result in inaccurate advice.
