He took the money and went back to surfing. Good for him.

Damn seems like hollywood didnt get into his head. Good for him

The mentalist will always be a phenomenal series

That smile, those eyes, that hair!  Just a gorgeous man. and a talented one.

Simon continues to be super handsome, and im glad to see his smile hasnt changed. Also, behind the scenes he kept the friendship still strong with all the cast, especially Robin, those two friendship is so adorable, even now you can see in their Instagram posts they like and comment on each others

He did not disappear. In 2026, Baker won the Logie Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his performance in the 2025 television miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Since this is in Australia, of course we don't see him in the US.

He is the prettiest man on screen for this century, just like Paul Newman was for the last one. And both of them are not only so easy on the eye, but also incredibly loveable characters. It's always a joy to watch them act🤗😊🫶

Simon Baker took some time off after 7 seasons. Many actors and actresses retire after a leading role in a show that's at least 6 seasons long with at least 15 episodes per season.
Sadly, he and his wife have separated in  2020. This is probably the reason why he started getting more active recently.

He'd make a good 007.

I Love the Mentalist,  and I think Mr. Baker has the best idea to put family first. If you miss your family growing up you can never get that time back.  I wish him and his family well.

He produced and played in film Limbo, a real nice piece of craft. It’s on Netflix. He also directed film Breath, won a few awards. He’s a true artist.

I Love him being ,,Jane"..., watch the whole Series once every year....He brings ,,the Mentalist " to life so perfectly!!!

Seems such a delightful chap, loved The Mentalist  and The Guardian.
I’m such a fan and furthermore he is incredibly easy on the eye. 😍🇬🇧

Very likable actor.

I have always loved him, plus he is gorgeous. I applaud him for walking away to be with his family.  That is a good man.  It will be nice to see him again.

We always look the Mentalist every 2 years again, it is so good

If you score gigs in a few big movies & lead on a long time running Amrican show- you are pretty much set for life (if you don't spend it all on drugs or gamble it away).

Simon always looked like he was thoroughly enjoying playing Patrick Jane, and seemed to impart a bit of Aussie larrikin into it. Not only was he competing in surfing as a young man but also Water Polo. He has lovely green eyes.

Mentalist, Castle and White collar are my all time favorites.  I hope to see Simon Baker in another crime series. He's such a great talent.

Everytime I hear the Mentalist theme i start to smile.I enjoyed that show.
