The much-talked-about new Land Cruiser FJ has arrived at Craft Nakagawa store!

Thanks to the generosity of Toyota Corolla Aichi, we were able to borrow a completely stock vehicle and conduct a real-world test to see how far we can increase the tire diameter on the new Land Cruiser FJ while maintaining its standard ride height.

We tested four standard tire and wheel combinations: 17-inch and 18-inch.

From maintaining the stock diameter to increasing by one size, we actually mounted the tires and wheels, turned the steering wheel fully left and right, and thoroughly checked the clearance with the inner fenders and mudguards.

[Key Points of the Verification Results]
・Even with combinations close to the standard sizes for the 150-series Prado and 125-series Hilux, checking the hub shape and clearance is crucial for the Land Cruiser FJ.
・While some sizes appear to work in a stationary state even with normal ride height, caution is necessary when considering driving conditions.
・Especially with larger outer diameter sizes, it is important to check the relationship with mudguards and inner fenders on the actual vehicle.
・To safely enjoy larger outer diameters, a comprehensive judgment including not only size selection but also ride height and attached parts is recommended.
