The transition back to color at the end is always what gets me.

I want to see a movie about Albert Goring, Herman Goring’s brother.  He was a hero in the same way that Schindler was and his story is even more unbelievable.   There will never be a movie, because the audience will be too confused, but everyone reading this should looking Albert Goring up on the internet.

It's frightening how people here at the end of the film wonder what that is. Real? There is no longer any knowledge of history, just tragic, deplorable.

💐🙏🏻RIP Oskar Schindler (Veteran) (28 Apr 1908- 9 Oct 1974) (aged 66) and Emilie Pelzl Schindler ( 22 Oct 1907- 5 Oct 2001) (aged 93), and all the victims. You will truly all be missed, and my prayers and thoughts go out to you and your families. 💐🙏🏻

The lady who said God Bless America when the engineer was shot hahahahahah

Keine Sache ist so wichtig wie ein Menschenleben zu retten. Sachgegenstände kann man ersetzen, aber niemals ein Menschenleben.

It is believed that maybe six of the original Schindler Jews saved are alive today. Most have died, although as stated in the movie there are many descendants. Schindler himself had two kids from a previous marriage and his sister had kids so his family line continues. Itzhak Stern also has living descendants and his brother was one of the people you saw placing a stone on Schindler's grave.

Some iconic movies have very powerful endings. To me this movie seemed to have two powerful endings. The first was with the "I could of got more" speech and then followed by the Jews visiting Schindler's grave.

💐🙏🏻😭The girl in the red coat was indeed based on a real person, telling a real story from the Holocaust, but there were a couple of girls who wore a red coat in the ghetto. She may have been based on 💐🙏🏻RIP Gittel Chill (1939-13 Mar 1943) (aged 4)💐🙏🏻, the owner of a red coat in real life. Gittel Chill was the daughter of 💐🙏🏻RIP Dawid Chill (1898-1944) (aged 45–46)  and 💐🙏🏻RIP Ewa Drezner Chill (3 Nov 1913- Mar 1943) (aged 29), who made difficult decisions to protect themselves and their daughter during the holocaust. While Dawid Chill and Ewa left for the countryside, they placed their daughter in the care of her uncle, Idek. This decision was made after careful consideration and in the best interest of their daughter. Unfortunately, Idek and Gittel were in the Kraków ghetto, with the former being a Doctor. Despite hiding from the Germans successfully for a long time, Gittel was eventually found and killed in the liquidation of the ghetto on March 13, 1943. The story of children like Gittel can be read in Schindler's Arc, the book on which Schindler's List is based.💐🙏🏻😭

The fact that, in the end, people wonder if this is real totally frightens me - the ignorance of young people.

3:07:16 Real fact, the lady in the wheelchair was Schindler's real wife, Spielberg paid out of his own pocket (supposedly) to take her to the cemetery and film that scene

This movie is the sort most people only watch once. It definitely stays with you. Ralph Fiennes was robbed at the Oscars.
Last of the Mohicans or Dances with Wolves next, please!

“This can’t be real” very true this was just a movie 🎥 What really happened is much worse and more depressing BUT it needs to be seen so that good people know how evil bad people can be so we know what we’re up against. Who needs Satan when you have humans?

Watching this actually makes me a little angry at times, particularly when some of the reactors seem unable to comprehend just how brutal the Nazis could be and how deep their hatred was towards Jews and other people they considered inferior or undesirable.

But perhaps that reaction also shows exactly why films like Schindler’s List are still so important. Younger generations need to learn not only about the Holocaust, but also about the political movements and ideologies surrounding this period — socialism, communism, fascism and National Socialism — and understand what those terms actually meant in their historical context. Hitler's party was, after all, officially called the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, but Nazism developed into its own extreme ideology built around racial nationalism, antisemitism, dictatorship and absolute loyalty to the Führer.

Most importantly, people should learn how all of this developed. The Holocaust didn't suddenly appear overnight. There was a progression: propaganda, division, scapegoating, dehumanisation, the erosion of democratic institutions and individual rights, persecution, and eventually systematic mass murder.

That is why studying history matters. It isn't simply about remembering what happened. It's about understanding how it happened, so future generations can recognise those warning signs rather than believing something like this could never happen again.

Is that George Lincoln Rockwell? on copyright thing?

Wer bei diesem Film nicht ruhig sein kann, kann ihn nicht verstanden haben.

Cry your eyes out, everyone, but save a few tears for Palestine, even if Spielberg won't make a movie about it.
