Our friend ‪@SamLenzArtwork‬ and I FINALLY got to play our first game of Trench Crusade together - and we go over our initial gameplay impressions.

Vince Venturella and I made another game! Check out Deth Wizards - miniatures-agnostic necromantic skirmish combat at http://www.dethwizardsgame.com

I'm a member of The Army Painter Factory Team - and I'm passing the savings on to you! Use code 'FactoryUncle5' at checkout to get 5% off of your entire order at http://www.thearmypainter.com or check my favorite Army Painter products at https://thearmypainter.com/tabletop-m...

I'm now a partner on Twitch! I paint minis every Friday morning and Monday night, and sometimes take paint breaks (play video games poorly). Follow me: Twitch: tabletopminions

Woah cool to see my list builder mentioned here! You'll be happy to know I'm in the midst of a big 2.0 remake. Including both technical and UI/UX overhauls.

Plus, rewriting all the data will help with this being about a year or two of patches mostly found on the discord haha.

Uncle Atom and Sam Lenz: gentlemen and scholars both. It sure made me smile when Adam accidentally revived an obscure word from the 1600s! Loved the collaboration, guys.

The organic discussion about the rules does a great job of performing the slightly confused experience of picking through the first attempt at playing through a new game system.
I don’t entirely feel like I understand any better but definitely felt simpatico in the experience.

This was great!
Thanks for shouting out that you don't need Trenches and proxies / kitbashes and unofficial models are very much encouraged!

It's a very straightforward system and very beginner friendly!

Have built a 4 ft x 4 ft table. Been playing solo to learn the rules. Very enjoyable game mechanic, and I believe people go a little overboard with the trenches. Looking at the scenarios, you only need three trenches for "Storming the shores", and I forget which other one. And then in a random scenario generator "Trench warfare" you need 8, 4 on each side. So I've been using regular terrain and using 2D trenches. But I would like to make a modular table later. Hope to see you at Adepticon!

The +dice -dice mechanic, 7+ successes, and 2, 7, 9 condition thresholds are an elegant approach to the rules. Once you have those three basic concepts down, the game plays fast and smoothly.

I really like the pod casty style of this video. Less editing and a great collaboration with you two. Your on to something! I know there is distance issues, but maybe we can all move to the same city!😂

That “slap two dudes on the painting table and figure out how the rules work” is exactly how I learned Warhammer fantasy when I was like 11 with a skink and a bretonnian bowman that came free with an issue of White Dwarf.

Bloodbath with 3 instead of 6 when they’re down increases the tactical value of knocking them down greatly!

I'm enjoying the colab content with Uncle Atom, Sam Lenz, and Vincey V.

Currently 4 weeks into a campaign I'm running at my FLGS and it's been a TON of fun. Loving this game so far and highly encourage anyone who likes the setting to give it a shot.

Nice! This reminds me of old Warzone. We always wanted to do the Imperial Trenchers.

Trench Companion is pretty updated for list building

23:47 - me too, as time went on I started to appreciate smaller boards, like 4'x4', 3'x3' or even 2'x3' like Warcry (2'x2' tend to be 'too small' but can work in systems written for it like Wojnacja)

The risky action makes things cinematic. I thinknthat is the word you were looking for.
And you'd still get trench foot if you couldn't get your feet dry.
