It's criminal that we never got a continuation with these guys, and they're not featured in future series of the franchise.

Bro I told you G rev was on CRACK. They said how much anime influence? They said YES. The fights, the consequences, all to perfection

G Revolution director was also a director for Dragon Ball Z

One thing I loved about Kenny vs Tala was that before the match, we hear Kai warn Tala to not underestimate Kenny’s ability. While he didn’t do as much beyblading as the rest of the main cast, Kenny was one of the first people to stand against Kai and even ended up being one of the last people standing in a battle royale match against Kai back in season 1.

Beyblade G-Revolution truly went back to peak. You can already tell how impressive this story is because they did away with the "villain of the week" setting that they had with V-Force and instead focused on making every character develop in unique ways in a tournament that made every competitor matter instead of a typical style. I do admit that I don't even remember how the tournament worked with how they tallied the rounds, but thank you very much for actually explaining how teams ended up advancing.

One of my favorite moments in G-Revolution's tournament is when Tyson actually decides to talk to his former teammates at one point during the tournament, which happened a bit after his little meltdown when he battled Ray. It was nice to see how Tyson finally woke up and realized that he was disrespecting his friends by not treating them as fellow competitors, and Tyson never again repeated his mistake when he battled Max and Kai afterward. Tyson had to mature and it felt way better here than how he kinda had to mature in V-Force.

While I agree that Tyson being treated as the absolute World Champ feels weird in hindsight, I always felt that because Tyson is the one who always won things at the very end in every tournament, and seemed to always have the heaviest battles where he basically saves the day, it can get people to feel like Tyson is the one who always comes through when it matters the most. So this heroic thing kinda made his title as World Champ feels more understandable.

I also think that Hiro is also a very strategic and calculated coach, he was able to identify faults and weaknesses in Tyson due to his ego and overconfidence and made choices accordingly. I liked that we had a more adult viewpoint with his character. Also their reunion in episode 6 was also wholesome tbh.

Dizzi being retconned from the series is mainly due to the fact that G-Revolution has Kenny bring less reliant on his computer but also that by this point, bit beasts stop being the focus point of the franchise

Tyson vs Kai is one of, if not, the best Beyblade battle of all time.

4:53 Tyson is the leader of the team in the Japanese version

If you love Kai, you are not ready for the 2nd half of G-Revolution!

G Revolution was the best season of the OG Beyblade for me. It's funny, I'm a girl and I didn't need things like Dizzi to get me interested in Beyblade. I was also a bit of a tomboy growing up, so I liked a lot of cartoons and anime more geared towards boys in general. Tyson, Kai, Ray and Max were my jam back in the early 2000s. I remember waking up every Saturday morning with an alarm so I wouldn't miss an episode of Beyblade. Then one day, I noticed everyone's outfits from V Force were different. I was confused for a second before quickly realizing that I was watching episode 1 of G Revolution (obviously new outfits means new season!) and I had no idea there was even going to be a third season. I still remember the pure joy and excitement I felt in that moment; episode 1 will always be a favorite of mine for that reason.

I really look forward to your revisit and review of the second half. Looking back, I don't think I felt too fond of the second half compared to the Tournament because in my young age, I didn't quite understand the true gravity of the situation and what was at stake with the Justice 5. Revisiting and rewatching now that I'm older has made me appreciate and absolutely love the second half. Kai vs Brooklyn round 2 will always be a standout battle. I wish we got a season 4 and more with these guys.

Whats surreal is how much realism this "Kid's anime" had...
From Sports rivalry between members of a top tier team/Club, to members leaving each other due to the said rivalry.

The Ego of a champion and the resulting existential crisis from the subsequent events where the said ego was dashed.

Corrupt organization taking over the helms of a sport is a recurring theme but this was done so brilliantly where that said organization took over the market, created monopoly or technically created a complete market "Curtel"...

And then the cherry on top
Raw talent Vs Hardwork
Kai vs Brooklyn changed OG beyblade for me... It took a kids anime in such unprecedented heights in terms of realistic themes and storytelling that no subsequent series could ever replicate that...

Kai Hiwatari will always be a honorable mention in my top anime character list. That monologue to Brooklyn still inspires me and gives me goosebumps.
Beyblade G Révolution was what a kid's anime should be and much more... That no other subsequent anime of that genre reached that height

The fact that all the episodes are just readily available on YouTube is great

Respect for F dinasty. Gone but Never forgotten

Kai is a Piccolo Fan

G-Rev even by today is still my favorites beyblade season in this whole franchise for decades now and the dub ost is still >chef kiss

I think they could've easily covered the Dizzy issue if they changed the name of Kenny's Beyblade from Hopper to Dizzy. That way, everyone would just assume he somehow managed to transfer her from his computer to his Beyblade without having to add in any unnecessary dialogue.

Kinda surprised on how much censorship this season had

I agree that Tyson being the only one acknowledged as champion is a major problem that the series as a whole has, given how much emphasis on team work there is in every season.

But it doesn’t bother me as much since based on their characters, Kai, Max, and Ray wouldn’t be hung up on that since they’re very mature compared to Tyson. All it would do is motivate them to get better since their previous efforts weren’t enough to have them recognized as champions and that’s what we witness in G-Revolution.

Brooklyn makes the android saga look normal in comparasion
