At first it didn't work but I found why : you have to create the true/false variables on the button submit and not on the texte entries.

Thank you for posting this video. I personally think that this is a big minus for Articulate. Do we really need so many steps for this basic interaction? I'm still wondering after all these years, why we don't have this kind of interaction built in.

If you build this and receive the "You must complete the question before submitting" message, check your triggers to ensure that the "Submit One when the user clicks Submit" trigger is at the very bottom of your Triggers panel. If it is not, move it to the bottom. This is one solution to the issue.

Thank you, exactly what i was looking for! I had a few issues getting it to work, but finally figured out where i had chosen wrong variable or not changed something on the trigger. I had first tried the Storyline fill in the blank freeform question, but it seemed to only allow for 1 answer, i needed 4, so this is helpful!

Thank you so much. This was enormously helpful. I appreciate the logic of using a pick-one.

Thank you for this video. I'm curious why you chose Pick One instead of Text Entry.

Hello Mark, I followed the same steps. When I test the interaction in the preview mode, I keep getting an error message telling me that I did not provide the correct answer. Please, help me. Thank you

Hey Mark, is there a way to do this where anything inserted into the blank results as a "True"

@karolina4331 4 years ago

Hi , just tried it and it doesn't work for incorrect answers, you must fill correct answer before submitting. Or is this something I am missing? But in the video you can only see correct answers, what if you type nothing or something else??

Hey mark , great videos you have here
I just want to ask , can we make a quiz that can send a student score to our email in a excel ?
Thank youu

Hi, Although I followed your instruction, it did not work. When I fill gaps, it appears this “ You must complete the question before submitting. I filled enough 4 gaps. Can you explain?

@tuboto9 5 years ago

@ Milan, yes it seems cumbersome but doable I agree with you! my question to Mark is why not use the freeform filling the blank option and that is it? please, Mark, clarify.
