Trent opens with two tight (and beautiful) arguments. I'm an hour in and still no reply that challenges any premise (implicitly or explicitly). Smart, playful, and ultimately productive.

This was one of the weirdest Orthodox vs Muslim debates I’ve ever seen.

I feel bad for all the martyrs that died when they refused to worship another god when it would’ve been so easy to just say ”we worship the same God”

As a Protestant, Trent crashing out, shouting over the opposition, refusing to answer questions and wanting to fight Jay was shameful. Never have this man on any debate going forward, absolutely abysmal showing for the Roman Catholics.

Edit: I change my mind, keep letting him debate- it helps expose the falsehood of this position

If the filioque was enough to split christendom, imagine going back to 1054 and defending that muslim 'god' is the same as the christian God

If you're going to host a debate you need to MODERATE. This clown yelling and interrupting, refusing to answer any questions just unbelievable.

This debate did a fantastic job of proving that Roman Catholics worship the same God as Muslims.

The last time I checked, Jesus doesn't have 2 right hands, 1 shin, a foot unlike anything in creation, and he isn't the best of deceivers.

Eating during the debate is not only disrespectful to his opponents, but to his debate partner, the moderator, and to the audience; all of whom are choosing to spend their time on this debate. Completely unacceptable.

it’s so simple lmao:
“No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Did Trent think winning a debate is being the most unlikable person on the panel?

This was absolutely wild on Trents behalf. This was embarrassing. This was like the infamous live slaughter of Billy Carson level of cringe.

Used to think Jay saying Roman Catholicism is dangerous was a little dramatic, until I saw this “debate”

The Orthodox definitely took this. They constantly avoid—and ridicule Jay’s argument. Claiming it’s “irrelevant” or “you aren’t making an actual argument.” SMH

I had the intention of watching this debate for an intellectually stimulating conversation. Instead I saw this individual, Trent, acting beyond immature and disruptive. It was incredibly unsettling and off putting watching someone his age act so unbelievably immature. Him chewing his food in front of the camera at the beginning was not a great start either. I have seen many debates with all sorts of people, debates with and without Jay. I have seen debates that reached intense discourse. What Trent displayed has no justification, it was disgusting.

Jay and FDA for a clear and decisive win.

When Roman Catholics say they worship the same god as Muslims, believe them.

My God is not called the best of deceivers. Just saying

This was one of the deciding factors when I came out of protestantism, looking at Rome vs ortho. Jay and Father did cook these guys and Rome should be ashamed of itself to say we worship the same God.  Glory to the true and only God,  the God Abraham and Moses worshipped Father Son and Holy Spirit ☦️

“He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”
— John 5:23

Honour is a form of worship and adoration, so if Muslims do not and refuse explicitly in honouring Christ as Lord and God, then following this logic they do NOT honour the Father either.
