Hi everyone, editor of the channel here, wanting to give you an update about new videos.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to keep the channel running in its current form. Producing these videos is a full time job, but the income from YouTube, even with the support of the members is not enough, and cross financing it from the German channel is not feasible at this point.

I've been editing these videos for a year and want to especially thank all the members who supported us. Without them the videos would have ended way earlier.

We don't know yet how to continue on this channel, so I can only direct you to the German channel for new videos.

Hello and welcome to Portugal

As some have mentioned, Portugal recently changed its electric vehicle charging law, and we are transitioning from the old model to a new one in line with the rest of Europe. Our model was closed and complex for outsiders.

It was also difficult for us portuguese to know how much we would pay for charging, due to the complexity.

Mobi.e will be phased out, and there will no longer be the time + energy + Mobi.e component to calculate the charging price. Operators will now be able to sell energy, and thus there will be a clear value for the user regarding how much they will pay per kWh.

In Portugal, using app Miio as a CEME is not the best option. The best option in Portugal right now is to use the Electroverse app, or use Tesla chargers, since Tesla has expanded its chargers in Portugal since the new law came into effect and now allows non-Tesla cars to use its chargers.

Welcome to Portugal. Legislation on charging have changed recently. Now you can pay with a card at the stations. Tesla is expanding fast after 5 years of waiting for approval of new charging stations and to add new chargers on existing ones.

Nice video as always, so happy that you're always respectful and speak kindly about even the downsides.
A little hint about the charging cable retractor (at 27:00); just get something like a spring clamp and use it to retain the cord when you've pulled it out - rather than taking the nut off and risk losing the cable into the machine as it flies back! 😊

Epic camper spot and what a journey.

I have been enjoying Electrotrucker when they have auto dub into English!  Please to that more frequently.  

To solve the cable theft problem, that is making them with aluminum wiring.  And put in a extra tube, with ink in it, that will burst and spray the felons with dye, and ruin their day!   Make the dye also smell bad.  Really bad.  Putting in pepper spray, and making the dye sting on the skin, well that might be to really bad.  .  . .But?  

Great view at 36 minutes!  Really makes the trip and long hours away from home a worthwhile thing.

I have missed you over the past few weeks.  
I have just had a quick look at the German channel on your most recent video and note that the sub titles are still available in English.   I will see how that goes!

Superb presentation. Our conservative politicians here in Australia could learn a lot from you and your electric trucking experience. It’s amazing that we still have such diversity in trucking operations across Europe. I would have thought with all the emphasis on efficiency in trucking operations the EU would make it a priority to integrate the trucking transport system. Just goes to show vested interests exist everywhere. Keep up the outstanding work.

Cable thefts require a targeted campaign from authorities to stop them. Make it difficult to trade in stolen cable and impose fines and penalties on larger businesses that process it. Going after individual thieves alone won’t yield much. One useful open-source effort would be to document where these cables are reused or recycled.
