I'm amazed that I managed to go this whole video without making a single Oasis joke.

The sound of this game is the sound of the arcades in the early 80s.
It was a happy time.

This game is still my favourite one 42 years later. Thanks for posting.

0:53 The aliens the player fights aren't the Galaxians; the player character piloting the Galaxip is one of the Galaxians whose mission is to destroy aliens.

Yeah, im still very much sitting in a games room holidaying im 14 its 1985 i had just seen the movie the last star fighter, and there is galaga playing its theme song showing the highest scores, you know the one, then the name entry music begins....! what a very beautiful package of a game. WOW... it will live with me the rest of my life.

Saw this is my recommendeds and I have to say, you did a fantastic job! As someone who went in only being familiar with the first two games, it was great to hear not only about the various other installments, but the wide variety of ports and fan works from many perspectives. Good work, you've earned the subscription! :D

Great video! Did you know that the enemy palette in Gaplus changes every 10 (I think) levels? I would have liked if they just kept one more colorful palette, though.

My Summarization of Galaga Revenge: Galaga, but with Anime

I will say though that I have played Galaga, Galaga 88 (My Personal Favorite), Galaga Arrangement (The 1995 version because the newer version is not good in my opinion.), Galaga Legions, and Galaga Wars. I'm also very happy after purchasing Namco Museum for the Nintendo Switch, to find that Galaga 88 is on there!

I was introduced to Galaxian via Ridge Racer 6 (and again several years later via the Pac-Man World trilogy). Those 2 series sent me down a rabbit hole that led to me becoming quite interested in Galaxian. That Galaga Legions DX game looked pretty rad.

Also, these credits are flipping adorable; not gonna lie.

Great work! Found you through the Space Invaders video a few months after it came out. Great content, all around. It's so comprehensive!!

I think that Bosconian is the true sequel to Galaga. If you notice, one of the stages of Galaga '88 has a picture of the Orbitals or space stations in Bosconian.

I have play Galaxian, Galaga, Galaga’88, and Galaga Arrangement. Great space shooting games, very great. But there’s one space shooting game that I always wanna try to play and it is brought you by the Galaga series, it’s Cosmo Gang: The Video.

Galaga arrangement 1995: Am I a joke to you?

this video is a blessing.. I've been trying to find out what game I played 24/7 as a child. Turns out it is Warblade. It was super hard to find, glad I stumbled on this video, much love <3

When will Namco rerelease the Arrangement games?

Edit on 5/5/2022: When will Namco rerelease the OTHER Arrangement games? (Pac-Man Museum+ is coming)

Taito from Brazil launched a game called Galactica at the time of Space Invaders, which seemed like the precursor to Galaxian. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F89DjyJ68Vw )
